Who is passing judgement here that google+ is a failure

It is a failure to only Nigerians here at home (and Africans I guess).

All my peeps in the offshore naija have relocated their online social networkings to Google+- It was only a matter of course for them to migrate cuz google was not a mere search engine or mail provider to them,

apparently, your peeps are d only ones on google+ - I hail thee. here are a few links to let you know that google + is raising concerns the world over, not just Nigeria or Africa like you claim.

someone said it nicely - 'Google’s problem is not getting users in the first place, it seems, but rather keeping them after they have arrived. For now it appears that a lot of users are merely curious about Google+, but return to the tried and tested format of Facebook when the lustre fades.'

i think the big problem with google+ is that people don't know what to do with it, then for someone like me i don't have nearly as many friends on google+. Somehow i feel google+ is more serious like while fb is a place awhere i just relax wit my frineds; which is such a pity 'cos i prefer google+ features to fb. For one thing i prefer cIrcles to lists; when i joined facebook years ago i created my own lists. Now they've added functionality to their lists so that one can filter conversations but they also added some annoying default lists that i don't know how to delete. With g+ i can delete all the default circles and create mine from scratch. Then again fb is always changing their interface and causing confusion but my biggest annoyance with fb is that "x and y are now friends" and with the number of friends i have it is very annoying. As far as i'm concerned the only thing fb really trumps g+ on is the fact that fb has an existing ecosystem that a lot of people are familiar with. But that's me

Those are just personal opinions of the bloggers. As a blogger myself, we just express our opinion because we are entitled to it, but that does not mean that we are always right. If circumstances change, this same bloggers may even contradict themselves. People will always oppose change. I bet you that when Facebook first came, some Myspace users may have had the same sentiments but several years on, the difference is clear.

I agree with you to the hilt that they are just blogs and are reflections of the bloggers which is exactly my point in quoting them as @zaynee63 was of the opinion that its only in Nigeria that people are not embracing google plus. I just wanted to make him realize that this isnt true and I hope I succeeded. Good to know that a lot of people are still hopeful about d prospects of google +. whatever happens though, a little competition never hurt anybody (@ least not d customers).

How do you classify a site that has not been fully opened to the public as a failure. Even if G+ eventually opens fully to the public, you expect them to take facebook to the curb, then think again. It's a gradual process.

Google just yesterday announced Google+ integration on its Google Apps service opening it up to the business crowd. This means that teams in organisations using Google Apps can form circles for their teams and handle internal communications within their circles.

They can setup a Google+ hangout, where team members can do video conference while discussing projects. They can even draw up a project plan or memo, while still doing the video chat with Google Docs. All project members can see and contribute in drawing-up the document, even though they could be thousands of km apart.

So, Google may not be aiming at being a place where people copy and paste boring quotes, but a useful tool for professionals and matured people.

Google has also added a 'What's Hot' feature, which shows you posts that are generating the most buzz on Google plus. So once again, No Google+ is not a failure, it a work in progress.

With the release of Google+ for Google apps yesterday, Google+ has further positioned itself not just as a social network, but, as a platform for business success, communication, sharing and a dynamic educational tool for Colleges and Universities. I am looking forward to the time that our Organisation will launch the Google+ app for our Google email app we currently use (www.google.com/a/aun.edu.ng). As for the new Google+ apps released yesterday, visit the Google Enterprise Official Blog page here: http://googleenterprise..com/2011/10/google-is-now-available-with-google.html Therefore, Google+ can never be a failure.
