50% Transport Rebate Ending This Sunday

The 50% rebate in transport fare in the regulated transport system in Lagos ends on Sunday, a statement by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has said.

The 50% fare rebate was announced by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on 2nd August 2023.

The public is hereby informed that from Monday, 6th November 2023, transport fare will return to the pre-2nd August 2023 rate.

To be candid, Sanwo-Olu tried with that reduction. And many people do not see it as a big deal. Just imagine i journeyed from abule egba to ikorodu on BRT with less than #500 a trip that cost me #1700 on the yellow busses.
Kudos to Lagos state government. This is the real palliative that gets to people not those nonsense rice being shared.
