The National Industrial Court sitting in Owerri has issued an interim injunction restraining the organised labour from embarking on any kind of strike in Imo State until further notice.

The court warned against the disobedience of its order, saying that it would attract consequences.

Justice Nelson Ogbuanya gave the order on Friday, October 3 after hearing the submissions of counsels to both parties that they were yet to reach a settlement on their dispute.

Useless courts!
Where were the courts when hope uzodinma refuse to pay the workers? Seize their gratuity and pension and even remove over 1000 workers from the state pay roll?
Until Labour move for a bill to hold state governments accountable to workers salaries, then we never start.
If you refuse to pay workers at the end of the month, you will be jailed as governor....

Why didn't they also strike in Abia, Kogi, Benue and other states?.

Is protest a crime?Even the government doesn't obey the court. How many times has the court ordered tinubu to release emefiele that he has refused to do.If emefiele is found to have stolen funds why not take him to court?

Shutdown this whole enclave, we are not practicing anything called democracy.
Unfortunately, we only have a cash-and-carry judges in our courts. Which p0or man has Nigerian court favoured before? If you don't have money don't bother going to Nigerian court because the judgement will definitely be against you.

Nigerian government is funny. You wouldn't listen to labour or even brutalise them and the next thing is to head to court to obtain frivolous injunction restraining them from going on strike. Labour dey suffer for this country.
Brutalising labour leaders is even bad for Nigeria as far as human rights rating is concerned. What were the state government and the Nigerian police thinking when they were brutalising labour leader? I guess they told themselves that they were teaching him a lesson. Fools

National labour leader is not one man, he's the totality of all Nigerian labour members as long as he was on national assignment when he was brutalised

just look at this stupid comment.

A random ediot got himself beaten, instead of him to sue those that beat him, he wants the rest of the country to suffer. Yet this clown think it's the right thing to do. And people now wonder why we can't trust you lot with power.

If head of doctors union gets beaten by the police, he can just tell the doctors to go on strike until they beat back those that beat him.

Una no just get sense.

The amount of beating oshiomole received during Obasanjo days, if he decided to act like tyrant, Nigerian labour will still be on strike today.

What is the difference between our democracy and military rule?.

Is there any separation of powers between the three arms of government?

If your answer is no, then do the needful that is in your mind.

The same man that refused to call NLC out on strike when bank workers (NUBIFE ) were being beaten and intimidated during the naira confiscation exercise in which many innocent Nigerians died earlier this year.

There is no electricity in Imo State since five days and counting. The Electricity Union is on strike in solidarity with Imo State workers.

Imo State is deeply mourning.

It is a shame that rodents have infested Nairaland and the situational reports and facts can no longer be read or heard.

Why the hell are people allowed to put up a fake opinion. What has non payment of workers got to do with Strike? It is automatically "sit at home". How can you work and not be paid and some corrupt judge tell us to be coming to work? It is better you jail the union than they succumb to such stupid order.

Justice Nelson, didn't do well...I just hope that if the Imo state government were to withhold his rights and benefits accorded to his job, he won't protest.

Vast majority of Nigerians don’t know the constitutional right that NLC president have, even the NLC president himself don’t even know because they’ve been reduce to toothless bulldogs due to corruption, NLC president abroad can shut down a country and even unseat president but here they’ve lose their credibility and respect because of Eguje (bribe)
