I think your analysis is not correct.

If more people have entered the retail supply end of the gas value chain (common goods), its an increase in supply (not demand) and should mean lower prices. It means that getting gas now is easier than before(improvement in supply), this should deflect the price lower in the demand-supply curve.

If you say that the demand for gas has gone up above supply then you can assume price should go up.

Can we say demand is going up because people are cooking more? It's also not because of the gas generator conversion because the numbers are insignificant. It can't be CNG because that's different from LPG. Its not like end users are hoarding gas at home

Proudlyngwa:
It is expected
What happened is more people have entered into the gas retail business while supply of gas has remained constant.
This has led to mopping up available supply chains.
So those retail outlets will get saturated with commodity and law of demand and supply will set in.

That demand is insignificant in numbers.
Can you say that 1 million Nigerians have converted from petrol to gas?

We were enjoying our cooking gas until Nigerians started converting their generator set from fuel to it. Now see hike

There's also cash scarcity in Lagos. POS agents are now emptying ATMs instead of going to the counter to withdraw cash. Seeing ATMs with cash is now becoming harder.
what is even wrong with these pos agents sef... ATM is made for public uses, yet they hoard cash for charges. What is the point of ATM if someone else would codedly turn it to his business.

Supply from the processing plant is constant.
Outllets have increased, meaning places you buy gas from are no more the only ones that have it, more retail outlets have mopped up the gas, meaning more demand from retail outlets, this has resulted in skewed or staggered scarcity.
I saw your 2019 post commenting on david umaih proposed white elephant project. You must be a right thinking fellow.
Respect!
