Betrayers Don't Last In This Game Of Politics

The fall of Okowa, Ejele, Amori and others is a reminder of the consequences of betrayal in politics. Loyalty is an important virtue, but in the realm of politics, it is often tested and redefined. Betrayal may bring short-term benefits, but it eventually leads to bitter regrets.

Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, Amori, Micheal Diden aka Ejele, and others experienced this fate. Chief James Onanefe Ibori, a respected figure in the Presidential Villa during the reign of Gen. Sani Abacha, built his wealth through smart investments and also empowered others in their chosen careers, especially in politics.

When Ibori decided to contest for Governor of Delta state, he recruited individuals like Okowa, Amori, Ejele, and others, shaping the foundation of the "Ibori Political Family" that dominated Delta's political landscape for over two decades. Ibori's philosophy of equity, fairness, people-based governance, and loyalty guided his family's dominance.

However, Okowa, driven by personal ambition, disloyalty, and thirst for power, initiated a rebellion against Ibori, with Amori, Ejele and others supporting him. They aimed to destroy the James Ibori Political dynasty and impose an ill-qualified puppet as Governor.Delta state
But they underestimated Ibori's indomitable spirit.

During their rebellion, Okowa, Amori and Ejele warned all politicians against visiting or consulting Ibori, and those who defied this were seriously dealt with. The leaders, elders, and stakeholders in Delta failed to unite to confront Okowa and call him to order. They worshiped Okowa because of personal gains and were afraid to speak the truth.

Okowa succeeded in imposing his stooge on the party and winning legal battles with the help of Delta State's allocation. But he failed in his attempt to become Vice-President and sponsor Atiku Abubakar to become President with Delta State funds. Amori and Ejele also failed to secure their Senatorial seat and was compelled into retirement.

After the recent Appeal Court Judgment that retired figures like Amori and Ejele from politics, politicians started calling on Ibori to reconcile with him out of fear. Governor Sherrif Oborevwori, although exhibiting cowardice by adhering to Okowa's directive to remove the policemen assigned to Ibori, should draw inspiration from other governors who defied orders for personal gain.

Recently, a video emerged exposing Ejele's dealings, where his daughter publicly revealed that he was nominating State High Court Judges and DSIEC appointees for Okowa and Sherrif. This shows their level of treachery.

It is time for the people of Delta to liberate the state from the hands of these betrayers. Okowa, Amori Ejele, and others will have to lick their wounds of treachery as their actions have led them to political retirement forever. The plague that has befallen them awaits all betrayers.

Delta State will be liberated soon.

Exactly…Tinubu must surely pay for not only fraudulently conniving with Mahmoud to betray and permanently destroy trust in our electoral system but also siphoned 400bn meant for BVN without any trace, explanation or charge to court…daylight robbery of people’s mandate
