Story

Once upon a time

Time Time

Only south East will join the Nigerian Labour Party strike.

Other regions have no time to waste.

Only the barren land of the rising sun and it's lazy people would embark on such fruitless journey called strike

Nigerians too like strike and holidays, irrespective of tribe, religion or party affiliation.
That's our DNA

They are not serious.

Ajaero suddenly remembered that Imo State workers were owed 56 months areas barely 2 weeks to the governorship election.
His organized protest last week was politically motivated that's why he was beaten mercilessly.
Ajaero is nothing but a sillyyy Obidient.

I'm sure the mumu man will call of the strike before 14th November.

So he should let 56 month owed slide and let the person responsible go on with leadership? How do we justify misdeed in this country sef? If I take advantage of your misdeed, don't blame anybody but yourself, simple!

It was not even police that beat him but political thugs.

Instead of them to press the police to arrest the culprit, they want to go on a political motivated strike. I now totally believes that this union leader works for a particular politician.

One state out of 36 states have misunderstanding with NLC , that now call for the shutting down of the whole nation , does that make any sense at all? Why not single out the state only. This is part of the irrationality that turns the present NLC to toothless bull dog

Who takes NLC seriously again? Always crying wolf..

There wasn't even a national outcry over the beating of Ajaero. That's what happens when you dissapoint the people forgetting the same people are the ONLY weapons you have against the government.

Striking because of one man's wahala. This is no longer a labor movement but a political and one man's ambition movement.
I'm sure most will just ignore these fools.
Let them strike all they want, the govt should not pay anyone who goes on strike.

So NLC and national strike is now the instrument used by a single man to right any wrong done to him?

And you say you want power to provide a new Nigeria, yet already intoxicated with Union power.

Read again and comprehend.

If Ajaero is or was wrong, is brutality the best way for a state governor to address issues?!!

I thought you all said the Judiciary is meant to handle such disputes or issues?!!

If the national leader of the NLC is going offtrack, is he a dictator that can't be called to order or removed?!!

Since when did it become right or lawful to use thugs and police brutality to solve issues of political opposition?!!

You should learn to be objective... That's the whole essence of education.

What have Imo State governor and the police chief achieved with their actions last week?!!

The Labour Unions should thread carefully. How on earth can you declare an indefinite national strike for an issue many consider to be partisan? What was done to the NLC President can never be justified but is a national strike the remedy? As demanded, the Imo State Police CP has been temporarily removed from supervising the elections. That step in itself is unprecedented. So what now justifies the strike? Ego, partisanship and opposition should be put aside and some logical reasonong take centre stage!

Like take what up exactly? Tell him to pay? Like he doesn't know? He should even be smart enough to either pay or leave the government that is not working for him before election not wait to be told to.

They saw a lacuna and it is worth feasting on. It is within the labour's right to fight maladministration. Trust me, if you were owed 23 months or even 10 months, you would see it the other way.

Labour Party wants to use strike to win election in Imo state.

Peter Obi should continue with his anarchy.

When government hand touch am, his voice go regulate well.

The funny thing is none of you if called to court can clearly draw a direct or indirect link between Peter Obi and NLC... Not a single link.

Please, don't me you all intend to put all failures or inadequacies of this administration on a single version of the opposition.

That would be really funny. grin

Buhari nearly succeeded in putting it all on Jonathan way back... I don't think using Obi will be as successful. tongue

Please, go shop for better excuses.

You think Labor suddenly remembered within few weeks to election?!!

What business does Hope even have contesting for second term while owing such backlog of salaries and arrears?!!

The thing is just that some loyalists will go out to threaten workers who are willing to work.
When NLC has not been sold out, a nationwide strike is accepted by all workers, there were no factions

They want to see the result of the Imo Election. If Labour wins, they wont hold strike...if APC wins, they will then embark on nonsense protest...against HOPE, but their target is really this Govt. I hope their lawyers are advising them well...and not the same Atiku and Obi lawyers that just took money for lost cause LOL.
