Most useless and most unviable airport in Nigeria, no wonder no airline has agreed to go there

Ebonyi people are mostly illiterates and miscreants, so umahi understood this that was why he built substandard amusement park with multiple colours and tagged it airport while ebonyi people are jubilating in abject poverty.

This news is enough to provoke Ebonyi people against their wasteful government considering various studies and researches which indicates that Ebonyi state is one of the poorest in the country with AIT news showing data that Ebonyi indigenes make up to 60% of street hawkers in Nigeria.

Instead, you see them spewing hatred against Anambra state on various social media platforms as if Anambra is the cause of their backwardness.

Another white elephant project❗️❗️🤔🤔🤔

How many Ebonyi citizens can afford
Luxury bus🚍🚌🚃🚆 fare, talk less of air🛫 fare❓❓

In fact, has any plane ever landed or
taken off from this backwater state❓❓

In a state were majority of the indigenes are extremely poor.

This one wants to continue from were David Umahi stopped. Investing heavily on physical infrastructure with no human capital development. Ebonyi civil servants are still one of the poorest paid in Nigeria, yet billions will be used to repair the runway of a unviable airport.

What is a state like Ebonyi doing with airport? How much has the airport generated since it began operations? How many people uses flight go to Ebonyi?

Only God will judge these people!

This is the major reason the opposition needed to win the governorship election in Ebonyi. But rigging didn't allow. Unnecessary spending on white elephant projects continue.

When people ask why Nigerian politicians don't resign in the Portuguese PM resignation thread, this is why because public office in Nigeria is too lucrative.

I hope we will blame the FG a little less and look closer to home, our governors, house of rep members, senators, assembly members and councillors. These ones are the ones you see more frequently than you see the president. When you see them, beat the Bleep out of them. Nobody go tell Mr President to tighten his shokoto.

Misplaced projects are meant for stealing funds. Why a state with human capital spend all it's available funds on projects that will do no good to the people. For now. Invest in small scale enterprises which is the main strength of the Ebonyi people. You will think bringing in new people will change things. Lies. They all belong to one clique

Nobody shares this your stupeed view only you. Leave them alone and get a job so you find something meaningful to engage your mind with.

Misplaced priority! Imagine what that money will do in the lives of 13,000 Ebonyi people.
Well i cant agree less. Infrastructural project is needed tho, but not a wasteful infrastructure.
Building more roads and empowering the youth like what fashola did when he introduced Wapa is better.

You can imagine. An airport that has not even be used apart from that day that it was commissioned.

What got me ain't the amount to be spent or the value of amenity they're prepared to spend it on but the name of the firm contracted to handle the project: INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT COMPANY. Go figure, they're new in town and ain't TOP TIER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY

But the airport was never used .

David Umahi, what happened?

Umahi did not finished building the airport just that the commissioning of the airport was political just to take the glory that he started and finished an airport.
1-The runway needed to be asphalted because the equipment used in building it.
2-Even the control tower was not finished.
3-The terminal building was also not finished no signage inside the terminal.
4-No runway lighting of any kind.
5-The jet bridge was not installed.
This are just few of the things to be done and when the budget said 13 billion also bear in mind the dollars are up to 900 + official rate.

My thought, exactly.

For God’s sake.

Find used in building the airport would have constructed more than 100,000 low-cost houses with roads for them.
Kai☹️😤.

And come to think of it, over half of the money claimed to have been spent in constructing the airport were embezzled and they will steal over 8billion from the 13billlion they say they are spending on repairs of the tarmac.

And people are asking where that LP governor in Abia State is getting money from, look at this level of insensitive wastefulness by APC and PDP. Money is not much of Nigeria problem, the country is just blighted by greedy and insensitive leaders. This is what Obidients tried to correct by electing leaders that will listen to them.
