What worked for me: I used to work in a customer service firm. I had my then colleague that sits next to me fix those plastic nails for me and it worked.
Over time, I just stopped putting it in my mouth (I'm 30, I know how embarrassing it is).


These are my nails now, I use nail cutters and file afterwards.

It's a bad habit. Anytime you feel like doing it, put dry pepper, engine oil etc on your fingers till your body adjust to the new you

My own is biting of tongue though it has reduced very very much but I do it at intervals,

I would suggest you cut your nails regularly for it to be impossible to bite your fingers anymore. Or you should always have a pen in your pocket in place of finger biting....
