Yes, he should when and if caught because the report said "unidentified" which means he probably escaped. But shouldn't Lagos state government educate those LASTMA officials to stop chasing drivers? Write down the numbers of their vehicles, there are hi tech devices that can be used to capture their number plates. Arrest them later with heavy fine. Simple

Most LASTMA Officials are just too crude and that is why Ambode introduced mental Capacity instead of Chasing the roughean Drivers!
Most of the Drivers are always high in the morning - primarily with Oshogbo weed and are ready to crush anything!
So, LASTMA Officials needs to be Pro- active not behaving in the drivers ways!

Bothe LaASTMA and the diver should be held responsible.
LASTMA should device a means of issuing fines(with video evidence) instead of behaving like louts and drivers too should obey traffic laws. They always cause congestion for no reason, parking all over the lanes just to pick passengers.

The sincere truth is LASTMA is not needed on the road. We have Nigeria Police Traffic Officers on the road, we have VIO, we have Road Safety..... Why did we need still those louts in the road? What is their core usefulness on the road?

I observed some of those Lastma guys are just there to extort money from people. They should remember there is law of karma. ..pay day period is coming. Imagine the loss of innocent lives who are working for their daily bread.... what a country.....

The above will save innocent lives without also endangering the lives of lastma personnel as they attempt to stop moving vehicles.

Rather, LASTMA officials lay claims against innocent private vehicle drivers, and term the offence, miscellaneous, just to extort the driver without issuing government receipt. Simply, the rule of law should take preeminence, and a better society will surface. But for now, corruption takes preeminence in Nigeria.
The crime should be investigated and culprits punished.

LASTMA is just a bunch of thieves. They dont engage in anything traffic control. They just exploit Lagos drivers of their money. All of them have mansions, hotels, buses, fuel stations etc in the name of thier family members. Each on the road make 40 to 80 thousand naira daily. They do daily "ajo" contribition of 20-70K. IT SHOULD BE DISCONTINUED. No traffic anymore due fewer vehicles on the road. #endlastma protest should start now

Commercial bus for Lagos no dey get paper talk less of doing renewal that they can use and track them...but to be sincere Lastma are very wicked..they should find another means to get driver arrested and not been aggressive at the point of discharging their pocket activities...
