Why Do Palestinians Still Call Their Towns “Refugee Camps”? by TemplarLandry: 10:10pm On Nov 13, 2023 |
By now, Palestinians ought to have been fully absorded into the Arab world but they continue getting tortured by their leaders who perpetually use them as a weapon against Israel. Referring to yourselves as refugees in your national home? That's absurd. How would you live in a place for 74 years and you still deliberately call yourselves refugees and refuse to develop the place? Billions of Dollars has been disbursed by the United Nations through UNWRA in aids to the Palestinian government over the years but their political elites allegedly embezzled the monies instead of developing the ravaged country. What of the oil pipelines handed over to the Palestinian government? That's a story for another day. CONCLUSION: 1. Palestinians have the illusion that they're in transit to their “promised land” which is Israel, with their capital in East Jerusalem which they erroneously call Al Quds. 2. It suits the Arab world's strategy to keep their people perpetually angry at Israel, thereby keeping the war alive. 3. A large chunk of the humanitarian aids/funds is siphoned by the Palestinian government to sponsor terrorism, pay salaries of terrorists, and build massive network of tunnels. 1 Like

TemplarLandry: There exist Refugees Camps in those place because Israel refused them to go back to their original lands after fleeing the crisis that erupted after Britain ended it's Palestinian mandate and the declaration of the state of Israel. They have never been allowed back and have nowhere else to go so the UN set up refugee camps all over the place and is operating the longest running humanitarian aid (UNRWA) programme. This is the reason why Palestinians are refusing to move south as IDF ordered....they will never be allowed back. I think UM should be blamed for maintaining a refugee camp that long...not the Palestinians who have nowhere else to go.... maybe the UN feels a sense of responsibility as they are complicit in the unending crisis |

They happily left their homes because the Arab armies were to drive the Jews into the sea . Note that Arab countries surrounding Israel expelled all the Jews who were resettled into the victorious Israel after 1948. The Arab countries never resettled the Palestinian Arabs in Gaza preferring they live in refugee camps. With the influence of the UN a body specifically UNRWA was created, which only serves the Palestinian "refugees". The ones who fled could have gone back to continue efforts by PLO to finish what Hitler did not. I don't know of any one country that can invite their enemies back into the country they left. |
