I’ve noticed that recently there are tons of farm pages on Instagram with thousands of followers, sponsored posts etc and they are all fake. Here are a few characteristics

- They are usually very responsive if you have a question
- They usually claim to be in Ondo, Oyo, Abuja etc.
- if you check the “about” of such pages, they would have changed their username a few times.
- They will almost always provide a personal Palmpay account with an excuse that it is the Accountant’s bank account so he can confirm payment quickly.
- They alway say “payment validate orders”.
- They have tons of posts; videos, images etc of different meat, boxes of Wesson oil etc.
- Some have human faces as DP, other may have a logo.

I’ve seen about 6 pages running the same dirty MO. As soon as you call them out in the comment as a scam, they delete the account. Their prices are usually competitive and their target are people that are too busy to go to the market. Don’t fall for it.

If you see pages like that, please tag them accordingly so others don’t fall a victim.
