In compliance with the industrial action declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), the Federal Capital Territory High Court Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, has shut down operations.

The strike which commenced on Monday midnight, was unanimously agreed upon by the NLC National Executive Council (NEC) in Abuja on Monday.

The industrial action is taking place despite the ruling of the National Industrial Court in Abuja, which granted an ex parte motion filed by the federal government restraining the NLC from going ahead with the strike.

The FCT High Court opened for proceedings on Monday but when THE WHISTLER visited the court on Tuesday, its entrance gate was shut while the court premises were deserted.

A private guard who chose to remain anonymous told THE WHISTLER that the court was “closed due to the NLC Strike.”

Although the Federal High Court in Abuja conducted proceedings on Monday and Tuesday morning, its Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) is billed to hold a Congress meeting by 11 am at the court’s Ukeje Hall over the strike.

“This meeting is noteworthy as members will be briefed on the position of the union with regards to the ongoing NLC strike action and important issues,” a memo posted by JUSUN on the court’s notice board partly reads.

Why are headless mob led by the short devil Ajaero trying to force union to join his greedy fight?. if a leader truly had earned the respect of his followers, you do not need to force yourself down their throat.
Two things are certain; if state chairmen are hellbent at picketing unwilling members, dem go collect beating llke Ajaero. secondly, all these union wey no dey go work because Ajaero don lose one eye, na to go meet Ajaero to pay dem salary. No work no pay remain sancrosant.

Many of the workers don't even have money for transport to work.

This should be the beginning of an uprising against the crooks holding the people down!

Imagine a country where poor uneducated women can no longer buy panla or bonga fish or Ewedu leaves plus atarodo to garnish Amala, yet the mandate thief is buying yatch and SUVs for hoA members.

I thought Helinues and the other Tinubu media cows said that the strike will fail?

You think it's by fanning the flames of religious and ethnic discord? You think that will work this time??

What happened to Ajaero could've happened to Adeniyi or Bashir. Tolerating it will set a very terrible precedent that will eventually lead to the complete desolation of all workers unions.

It should NEVER be accepted. NEVER!

Abuse of the rule of law is imminent in Nigeria.
This government in the long run will be forced to eat its own vomit, they'll harvest the seeds they sowed in bogus baskets of regrets.

I see Nigeria becoming to slimy for Tinubu to handle, he planted the seeds of disorder by himself.
