Sometimes people sleep in the bushes for 2,3 days while traveling by train from port Harcourt going to Aba. Many of our women, children, have been kidnapped in several occasions on their way as a result of train damage.

In this 21st century for that matter. Look at the train model. The service does not even cover the entire nation. But Amechi and Bubu built a new one for Niger Republic. Only God knows what is stolen through the new route.

This is a display of ignorance.

Where is the train for Niger?

First of all, Niger is a land locked country which means anything they import in that country has to come through the sea which they don't have access to. Secondly, containers headed for Niger has to come through Nigeria, Benin Republic, or Libya. Currently, they use more of Benin because of clearing of logistics and government policies.

Having a rail line running from our sea to their country eliminates all logistical bottle necks. They currently get electricity from Nigeria, is it free? If they have access to rail do you think it's going to be free? The rail line will take the business from Benin to Nigeria.

Besides, do you know many trucks leave Kano daily to Niger with goods?

Is the rail mainly to serve Niger?

At least, a country should have good railways before constructing a railway to another country.

Trekking from Aba to PH is 14hrs.

Why would people subject themselves to a paid 3 days journey with the associated danger of getting stranded in the bush

No where is 50% good in Nigeria. I agreed some places have been fortunate by sheer luck.

SS haven't been luck both at state n federal level though but Jonathan can't take all the blame though he messed up

We are talking about a major FG road hereā€”he Calabar-Itu highway, and you say I should just let him walk away? Do you know the number of road projects he completed in the North? Do you know the number of road projects Buhari completed for the North? Haven't you already seen what Tinubu is doing for the SW? And you say GEJ wasn't badluck for the SS? You should think again.

Even the 1900s never had Americans spending couple of days on the Rail. It's 2023 Imagine what's a scourge in Nigeria.

As long as you're in Nigeria never envisage optimal, excellent, exceptional and world class services. Because the system is rigged to fold up and fail. Even when they shockingly give or deliver marvelous performances/services always create time to research why on earth you received such good services in Nigeria.
Undiluted truth
I reside in Aba and the old railroad has been completely excavated for a new one, trains ain't functioning in Aba for over a year now

Nowhere.
Shey you watch YouTube.
Once you register your weapon, and have a license, you just be claiming "self defense".
Black people in US who have guns typically don't register their guns and don't have license to use it either, that's why they keep
getting in trouble frequently.
-
Anyway, it is an idea. If there was a separate country for Nigerians in diaspora, everything will work fine in that country.
I only mentioned the "gun" usage as necessary because of Igbo tribe. They always try to dominate other tribes when you put them with other Nigerians. And they will certainly try that nonsense if there was Nigeria 2.0 somewhere else.
something is seriously wrong with you

The train I use to see in Indian movies when I was small was even better than this.

Please God Nigeria needs help, our politicians don't care for the masses.

The percentage ratio of politicians to masses is less than 0.0001% that's like 1 politician to 10,000 masses.

My statistics may be wrong, but think about it. You will meet 10,000 people before you meet a serving politician.

Who is supposed to be in control under normal situation?

Your guess is as good as mine.

At the bolded, if you think you are not part of the problem of Nigeria, the you need to be in a mental home.

You pray to God to help your country, God don travel, he will be back four years time.

You go wait tire.

They leave the problem they can solve physically and believe a spiritual solution is the only solution.

Lol. Dey play. grin

Nothing of value is done properly in the self dedicated hell, called Nigeria. No planning, no foresight, no orderliness, nothing. Just stupidity.

But Amechi, who is from the region, and Bubu built a new one for Niger Republic. A charity that begins outside and never gets home.

Buhari proved that one Nigeria is a farce.
Now Tinubu with his demolition of Igbo homes in Lagos has added to Buhari's one Nigeria is a farce.
Let's see where we go from here.

Exactly.this is old video.nairaland should verify thier news before sharing.this is very bad
Kenmatt:
Which moderator hurriedly brought this to the front page just because he or she saw pictures of Train and people standing seeming frustrated.

Please for clearity sake, Portharcourt to Aba via Train is not active for a long time now, about few years ago when it was actually working, it saved many traders who came from Aba to Portharcourt on Wednesdays which is "Oil Mill" Market day.

Many of these men and women were using Train then, as it was cheaper and better to convene them and their goods. The Train then use to stop at Elelenwo where these people then will hire "Keke" on a special drop to get them to the market; "Oilmill".

The Railway line that runs from Portharcourt down to Aba and beyond has been excavated as they promised revatalization of the Rail line.

So, for now no Train runs Portharcourt to Aba let alone passengers being stranded and sleeping on the roads for days.

Please, this is a FAKE news!!!

If as president you set out to do that, it is the same people that are posting rubbish that will use propaganda to bury that government. Even a simple regulation, the way people will cry and wail, the whole country including illiterates that are not even on social media will think that you have decided to bring down satan to be your vice president.

Long and short, social media is.a menace to the Nigerian society.

Its because our President's never have the balls!! too much political calculations stop them from doing what is right. That's how Jonathan and Buhari couldn't muster the political will to remove subsidy.

Totally agree with you but hope you will agree with me that the way politicians think is far different from the way rational humans think.
