The Presidency has faulted those complaining over the judgment of the Appeal Court sacking Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State.

President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, should be blamed for the sack of its governor, Mutfwang and not the president or the judiciary.

Onanuga pointed out that PDP used an illegal caretaker committee to conduct primaries in Plateau State, despite a court order.

The Appeal Court had set aside the judgement of the governorship election tribunal that upheld the election of Mutfwang as governor of the state.

The court declared Dr Nentawe Yilwatda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the governorship election while ordering the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue a fresh certificate of return to him.

Reacting, Onanuga recalled how the All Progressives Congress, APC, lost Zamfara State in 2019 over illegal primaries.

Posting on X with the title: “The avoidable fate of Caleb Mutfwang,” Onanuga wrote: “To those crying and complaining about the judgment of the Appeal Court in nullifying the Election of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, they seem to have forgotten history so quickly.

“In 2019, all Zamfara elected officials and members of the APC, from governor to state and National Assembly lawmakers lost their posts because the APC failed to carry out legally valid primaries.

“The PDP, failing to learn from history, repeated the same illegality, using an illegal caretaker committee to conduct primaries, despite a court order.

“Blame the PDP for the electoral setback, not the APC, the judiciary, INEC and President Tinubu.

“Non-compliance with the electoral law and the constitution is also at the root of the nullification of the election of Kano governor, Abba Yusuf. Those blaming the judiciary and being emotional about the ruling should face reality. Yusuf was sacked based on the law. I believe we all want our country to be guided by the rule of law.”

Is the APC not a meddlesome interloper in PDP's internal party affairs

In the Zamfara state case, Yari and Marafa both of them members of APC, took themselves to court and at the end PDP became the beneficiary

And the court heard it and gave judgement on an internal PDP matter instituted by another party the APC

Wetin concern APC with whether PDP conducts its congresses at the ward, local and state levels

This goes to show that some Nigerians and certain parts of the press are not objective and professional.
Imagine the whole APC system was banned in some states in 2019, and no one was crying that the judiciary was compromised. Imagine banning a whole party in any election, thereby giving the other party a free ride, and none of these people saw it as the death of democracy. It was perfectly ok then.
They are all crying, even though this is a much clearer case of court judgment subversion. The party went against a court judgment and selected a candidate for office, but you expect the court to look away.

I am always amazed at how APC and their propaganda machinery have been on overdrive to defend court judgements coming out in their favour recently as if they are spokesmen for the courts.
It's like a thief blaming the owner of a missing goat for not tying the goat with a rope that's hard to break.

why are some of you so wicked and daft in ur judgement when talking about politics, when apc lost all it post in 2019 you clapped for the judiciary, when David Lyon lost in a bayelsa just a day before been sworn in you guys where happy and praised the judiciary as the last hope of the common man, now the same judiciary has also faulted pdp for doing same mistakes, judiciary is now not good because of your hate for apc.
when abduallahi sule an apc gov. was sacked by tribunal you all didn't complain because the judiciary did a nice work....haba stop the hate and let's work together to achieve a common goal, election has come and gone , it's time everyone contribute his quota to make a Nigerian the beautiful country of our dreams

I thought Bayo was a nationalist until the elections but I saw a petty revisionists. His falsehood is for APC to swallow. PDP has exco that was duly elected. Una eye go clear if fourth republic collapses.

PDP lost at the law court but wants to use public sentiments to win over, it's never gonna work.

Go and ask the defunct obidients.

Intimation of the judiciary is closer to failure than presenting no evidence, they are humans too.

Do you know the grounds for challenging an election? Ineligibility of a candidate is one of four grounds to challenge an election. Also, pre-election matters differ from election matters. That goes to the issue of locus standi. Know before criticizing.
