We are actually at a stage now that, progress should be the goal not running one party system of government. Smh...

I like Atiku but he should take a back seat.

He isn't any different from the desperate politicians littering our political space.

You sounded like a child that is buried in his own ignorance, how does your like and dislike for him relates with the issue he raised?

Atiku the loser.

All noise and no action. He should respect Tinubu because Jagaban is now the leader of PDP.

God bless PDAPC.
Guy no dey jonse. Like him or hate him, Atiku raised salient points. This isn't how to run a democracy

Is APC or the Courts stopping the opposition parties from merging and forming a strong common front? They missed several chances to do this before the elections and still bickering and singing discordant tunes after the elections when it is clear that individual egos that got in the way of them working together before the elections are still troubling them. They are not yet serious, when they get serious, people will pay attention.

By the way, Nassarawa is APC and the Court ruled against the Governor who won reelection. Zamfara and Bayelsa cases in 2019 are also there. Always convenient to hang the Judiciary as soon as verdicts don't go their way.

I remember the Royal Law, do unto others what you want them to do to you. It was believed that most AD states were massively rigged when Atiku was the VP. True or false! OBJ, Akitu, & Iwu can answer that. Who would have thought that a day would come when Atiku would be carrying a placard in Abuja to demonstrate? Tables get turned. Let's do what is right. No one knows the future.

Nigerian is no more practicing democracy. We are similar to Russia oligarchy where d rich position themselves in power.

Nigerian leadership agenda is to impoverish d people. That's why this system will never last.

Hope for democracy in Nigeria is through coup or revolution. Either one is good because it's no longer funny

Omo there's a lot fundamentally wrong with us Nigerians sha. To the point where if someone comes out to point out some really worrisome issues, instead of arguing on what the person said and reflecting on it, we attack the person. So Atiku is a politician and is same as them bla bla bla... It doesn't matter. If you ask me he's pointing out real issues and the supporters of the opposition just call it "wailing" without even considering how bad things are and seem to be getting because their after effects of some of these things.

Hmmm. I'm even scared to say God bless Nigeria because it's hard to be passionate about your motherland when it seems to be out against you and doesn't feel safe for future generations.

Of course they are wailing.

In 2019, David Lyon was removed few hours to becoming a governor, and a PDP candidate (Douye Dori) who came second was sworn in instead.

In 2019 also, in Zamfara state, supreme court removed the APC governor, 3 senators, all house of rep members, all house of assembly members and replaced them with PDP candidates! Heaven did not fall and Atiku's party did not see anything wrong with democracy then.

These are the reasons why some people are calling them wailers.

Atiku is pointing out the tactics the APC is using to move Nigeria away from a democracy to a One Party State. What is your response to this message? ... criticize the messenger.

" When you don't like the message attack the messenger "

@ topic Atiku is on point. The APC is taking us from a democracy to a dictatorship ... wayyy too many are on the wagon cheering the driver on ... encouraging him to go faster but we have no clue nor want to hear word of the destination.

True, power isn't given. Power is stolen, grabbed, snatched and run away with and also engaging in criminal state capture

On a serious note, does atiku know how to play politics? All what he has been doing all his life is to snatch it. That's why he was in pdp, in acn, in pdp, in apc, in pdp just to snatch it yet he keeps failing. What a failure. So inconsistent
..ok so what Atiku has to do in 2027 presidential election is to grab it and run away with it abi ? 🙄

Atiku is the cause of his defeat and the defeat of PDP ..he was selfish...if he did not have problems with wike and the G 5 governors ..Atiku would had won the 2023 presidential election

Do you mean IPOB's mandate?

[Qquote author=Bobloco post=127078274]“It, therefore, means that the times we are in are indeed ominous, and the journey ahead in rescuing our democracy from these buccaneering power grabbers is a long one. It also means that every man and woman of good conscience should come together for this common patriotic purpose."

Allow politicians to dey use your head there. Was Atiku not no 2 once? What did he do to better the system. Atiku that is only complaining because he is not the one there.
Just leave them to cancel themselves out, then maybe better leaders can rise. For now all of them; Tinubu, Atiku, Peter Obi, they are all the same.
My prayer is that they all cancel themselves out to give chance to a new breed of leaders who hopefully would not be a continuation of the present leaders.

I laughed in Spanish

Atiku saying all these.
Can someone remind him when PDP in which he was VP tsunami almost all governors, senators and house of rep members in south west?
The slogan then was PDP will rule for 40 years. Then the judiciary and empire were excellent.
If your regime had reform the electoral process, perhaps the story would have been different. You sow sour grape, you reap same.

I beg no politicians should blame the judiciary for not taming the "giants" they created and is now favouring them or working against them.

I totally agreed with 'almangid' comment above. Atiku raised an issue, examine it in the light of what is happening. Is he making sense or not. Rather, very little minds, mostly APC and LP core supporters are after Atiku's consistent contest as a presidential candidate. In all his failures to win the presidency, has he been violent?, has he promoted violence or the emilokan principle of 'grap, snatch and run away' with power in any of his presidential campaigns?. Rather, in all his presidential defeats, he took to the courts depeening our jurisprudence. Has any politician contributed in depeening our jurisprudence in Nigeria than Atiku?. You may not like him and his politics, but he has never been violent or vulgar in his utterances. Politics is not always about winning elections but your contributions in the stability of the political process is what makes you a great politician. A good example is the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo of blessed memory who contributed emensely to Nigeria's politics but didn't win any presidential election. It is high time commentators started seeing the contributions of losers who are promoting the rule of law than winners who win through 'grapping, snatching and running away with political power '.
