(Video) Remains of Former Governor Mbadinuju Depart Anambra Government House After Lying-in-State


The solemn event of the lying in state of the late former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju, took place at the Government House in Awka yesterday. It was attended by a lot of dignitaries including his deputy, Dr Chinedu Emeka. Former Governors Peter Obi,Dame Virgy Etiaba and Soludo made brief farewell speeches at the event.


During the lying in state ceremony, the deceased's body was placed in a casket, adorned with flags and flowers, for public viewing. Various dignitaries and community leaders paid their respects in files.

The only expressway in awka then was the one Infront of the government house awka 1-1.5km aside the Enugu -Onitsha Expressway

All the money he stole can't save him. One of the worst governors in Anambra if not the worst. His problem was god fatherism, they dealt with him when he wanted to break the agreement. They didn't allow him to achieve much but he tarred many roads in his town, Uli. He owed teachers and pensioners too. You see this market prayer in Anambra,he started it.
