This issue has been going on for a while now now really escalating

I will just give a summary, mostly in the Delta north (asaba precisely) Igbo claim these people are Igbo

When asked the reason they say

1. Since ika and ukwani has Igbo name they are Igbos

2. Language is similar, you tell any Igbo person you are ukwani ika they become mad



My question is are this allegations true

I think I find my answers

in Anambra we have Ichi, Orumba, Ihiala, Ifite people, they are all Igbo

In Yoruba, we hsve Egbas, Ijebus, Oyos, Aworis, they are all Yoruba

Ethnic groups have have sub-groups within them

Someone told you they are Igbo. You are telling them they arent igbo but related to igbo.

The Ikwerre man in Rivers State has not exhibited a single sign of identity crisis, is it now the Delta man that will? No one from Delta-North looks to the SE for anything because our cultures and traditions differ. The only ones with an identity crisis are the SE Igbos themselves who are Nigerians today and Biafrans when it's convenient! We're all stuck in a sinking ship, so quit playing games and invest in building bridges across both cultural & religious divides to get the power you want. If the King of Asaba, Obi Chike Edozien, can come out to tell the world that he is a proud Igbo man, then there is no identity crises there except the ones yoy guys invented

Aniocha and Oshimili are proud Igbos. Where you may find some identity crisis is amongst the Ika's and Ndokwa's
