The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State has rejected the Appeal Court judgment on the state’s governorship election.

The party said it would challenge the judgement at the apex court.

The APC said in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Barrister Valentine Onojeghuo that it was confident that the mandate given to it by the good people of the State, who believe in its laudable programmes and the capability of its candidate, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, would be restored.

The past, which commended its team of lawyers for a good job, said it was hopeful of getting a favourable judgment at the apex court because it had a watertight case.

While commending its members for their steadfastness, support and loyalty, the party prevailed on them to remain calm and hopeful, assuring them that “there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

The statement further emphasised that “our stolen mandate will surely be restored. It is only a matter of time.”

The APC said the judgment of the Appeal Court cannot stand the test of time.

“We have no iota of doubt that we shall reclaim our mandate at the Supreme Court. We have absolute confidence in the apex court to do justice to our case,” it said.

Hmmmmmmm... u should shake oo.
All positions are the Same. Dron all parties and region. Even the so called freedom fighters are only doing so because it doesn't favour them or they are benefiting from the mayhem they are causing. They have no love the people, they are not fighting for you but themselves. When the time is right and you finish paying with your sweat they won't invite you to the table.

Be wise

I am speechless. APC want to use court to make Nigeria a one country party. That's not a democracy but dictatorship.

My friends who are lawyers try by all means to avoid conversations that has to do with the Judicial system of Nigeria, especially since the last presidential election.

It's a deadly and infectious rottenness eating us all from within.

By the time Tinubu & his team and done with Nigeria, she will become a lean shepherdless calf

This is not a prophecy!
A simple study of the history of nations will tell you where we are headed.

They should take that Delta state from PDP. Enough of PDP theft in that state. The former Governor Okowa with that his big lips used all the state’s resources to power his personal vice presidential ambition with loans against the future of the state.

Now you have his stooge; a former okpe Osubi tout who’s now the governor of a supposedly intelligent state like delta now directing its affairs.

Delta State should be one of the most developed state in Nigeria but you have these crooked criminals ruining it to the ground every four years.

APC using the court to truncate democracy. I hope when the revolution starts, they will be able to withstand it. You can't beat up an individual and stop him from crying.

Delta is PDP , PDP is and will remain Delta .

Ovie Omo Agege made a grievous mistake, if he had continued as Senator, by now he would have emerged the Senate President ,,, instead he left that possible position to try to overturn the Unturnable political structure in Delta with a hated APC at a time when the incumbent was the Vice Presidential Candidate....

To make matters worse , every region in the State knows the seat will rotate according to PDP timetable to every senatorial district,, but can't trust APC to continue that formula ..

It's your right to go to the tribunal at least to strengthen our democracy. Let them go ahead, give lawyers food and then come back empty handed. It's still democracy.
