Southeast To Pay Population Burden Tax To SW, Northern Governors by Pakute: 3:17pm On Nov 27, 2023
SE Governors collect federal allocations, security votes, some collect 13% oil derivation, yet nothing to show for it, instead, there has been a ridiculous increase in the rate of migration out of the region yearly. Who bears the burden of this migration? of course the welcoming hosts. These hosts across the Southwestern and Northern region are heavily overburdened with migrant population every year. With the exception of Lagos and SS states, everyother states collect almost an equal amount of allocation. The SW and Northern Governors cater to too much population in their respective states than the SE Governors who do nothing but to divert monies into their private pockets while their little population are being neglected. With a little population and a large expanse of empty and ungoverned areas and a large number of empty and unoccupied buildings scattered across the SE, it is safe to say these economic burdens are being transferred to the Governors of others regions. These Governors need to be compensated

CONT;
This compensation must be a percentage of federal monthly allocation due to each SouthEast state which would be deducted from their monthly allocations and payable to the Governors of SW and North. It is a basic economic theory that whoever transfer a burden must pay. I therefore urge the national assembly to enact a law ASAP to ensure that Governors of SW and North are adequately compensated for economic burdens being transferred to them.

Good and brilliant move!

The burden on critical infrastructures, institutions, and social amenities in the South-West is enormous and would be a good initiative!

Looking at the number of daily migration from the South-East to other parts of Nigeria, It is a gesture in the right direction!

The idea of wasting state resources on non indigenes should be abolished.

Stop exposing your ignorance publicly, population is one of the factors use in sharing federal allocation, SE indigence that reside aside SE increase the allocation of the host state. Therefore, SE states are the ones at lost here

It is either each migrant pay migration tax or their Governors pay a percentage of their monthly allocations. The migration is crazy, as we speak, they are loading another bus tonight.

You ran to SW with only slippers and nylon bags. Your Governors must pay tax for carrying their loads. You even have the guts to be asking for palliatives in the SW while your Governors budget 1billion on food.
Sw is our land too.

I am coming back this Xmas with four boys. grin grin

If what you said is true, then why is Osun state not collecting more allocation than Abia?. For all i know, population census asks for state of origin which seperates indigenes from migrants.

Why is Alamosho collecting the highest revenue allocation for Local Government Areas in Nigeria despite contributing nothing to Federal Allocation? The answer is the population of Eastrrners.

I support this.. also State Governments should start deporting those who don't have business living in thier States.

Nigeria was formed based on regions, why will some empty their region into another region and not pay a form of fine or penalty??.
What rubbish!

Yorubaland has been stagnant for so long because of unchecked influx of Igbos and other ethnicities into our lands.
Yorubas should start asking those transport companies to pack their loads and leave.. they have second Niger bridge now, let them go home and develop.
Enough is enough!

The most foolish trash ever written. If you didn't have saw dust and palm oil instead of brains, you should have known that FAAC allocation is based on population and landmass. Tell me a single Yoruba governor who is better than Igbo governors like Alex Otti or Soludo? Do you have any governor in history as good as Peter Obi? What about Alex Mbakwe? Umahi?

Primitive fools with the worst leaders ever are here making noise. Stop joining North in your stupidity. Try and stand as a man and challenge Igbos instead of always hiding behind your masters.

Perennial cowards!
