Just doing the maths, petrol increased by 400% but fare only Increased by 50%. So how are transporters coping?

Below is some freestyle I did about the state of the country.

Apart from fuel maintenance costs have really escalated and for now many vehicle owners are just trying to pay their bills and keep their vehicles running, many no longer think about raising money from transportation business to expand their fleet, many Uber drivers have either quit or doing the job sparingly

It's not transporters, poultry farm owners, companies, businesses, civil servants etc. They're barely managing to stay alive.

Who told you that transport fare only increased by 50%.

What part of the country has transportation increased by 50%?

I assume Iya basirat is one of those Ronu ladies with five children from five husbands, otherwise, steer clear of other people's property.

Transporters hardly make losses. They still use the same litres for the same journey but the 50℅ increase on fares affect all the passengers which can be as much as 18 in some vehicles.

Petrol increased by 200% and fares by about 120%

Yes, it makes sense.

Let us say you need a 5 litres of petrol to take 10 persons from Ikeja to CMS

At former price of N197, that is lets say N1,000
Old transport fare: N500 passenger x 10 = N5,000

Profit: N4,000

New petrol price increase N600 X 5 litres = 3,000
New transport fare per passenger 1,000 x 10= 10,000
Profit: 7,000

Transport fares don't have to increase at the same rate as the price of petrol.
