I read that too, I was like, who owns Lagos then
Lagos is covered by Ogun, Osun, Oyo and Ondo state. Common sense dictates that it's yorubas.

The Sotho, also known as the Basotho, are a prominent Sotho-Tswana ethnic group with roots in Southern Africa. They primarily inhabit the regions of Lesotho and South Africa

I doubt he said that. The idejos (land owners) of Lagos are Awori.

The idejos are Aworis and descendants of Olofin Ogunrumimire (an ife prince).

Read the interview well
Yes awori are from ife

But how did they come to ife ?
He explains it in the interview . Why are you doubting he said that ? Are you saying that Guardian fabricated the article ?

Foolish Igbo bastard Nupe were never slave when they came to Lagos, it was your foolish Igbo cursed miserable wretched father that were brought as slaves after the foolish war you fought in Biafra.

illicit:
His Ancestor, Oshodi Tapa was a Nupe slave, manumissioned by one Oba Of Lagos (Eleko then)

It wasn't that there were indigenous Tapas in Lagos, this man Oshodi Tapa was a slave brought to Lagos from Nupe land...

Twisted facts. No where in history was that recorded. Aworis are 100% yorubas and not Bini. They speak pure Yoruba without a word of edoid.

Perhaps that's why Aworis bear Benin names like Adewale, Ogunrumimire, Omobola e.t.c.
I believe the πŸ‘‡

Buying? Do you know all land you think you bought was actually leased? I know you too broke to have a single feet of land, so I wasn't surprised about such ignorance.

No one is buying land in lagos, C of O is certificate of occupancy and not certificate of ownership.

All lands belong to the aboriginals.

Mumu......leased for 100years,,,some 95years urgue with your keyboard. Let me see if you will live for hundred years.

Oba met Awori in Lagos island.

Lol.

The Fulanis and Yoruba civil war is what led to the capturing of Yorubas in Yoruba land. It was even on record that the British had to call a meeting of Yorubas in Lagos in the early 1990s to settle the dispute of that civil war

However, what is the reason Nupes will be captured as slaves and sold in Yorubaland even when thriving Nupe communities exist all over Yoruba land before colonial period.

You need to read more history

Slavery was a business

Infact booming business, war is just one of the numerous factors of being enslaved

Anybody can capture anyone and sell such person to slavery

The Igbos and Akwa ibomites that ended up in the Americas, was it Fulani and Yoruba war that took them there?

No where in history was that recorded.
Awori chiefs return to their quarters in ife and to visit their real king, the Ooni.

Aworis are yorubas and not Bini. They speak pure Yoruba without a word of edoid.

Why na only ibos dey always dey against Yorubas? When Atiku went to CSU for a fishing expedition, all of a sudden ibos took it personal and were all over the cyberspace crying more than the bereaved. Did you see Hausa-Fulani calling Tinubu names? Did you see any Hausa-Fulani promising brimstone and fire if Tinubu is not removed from power?

Now, show me one Bini person on nairaland shouting about what his oba said, NONE! But immediately the oba erroneously said what he said, all ibo mongreals crawled out and went all out, all over Instagram, twitter and nairaland spewing thrash in their typical stupidity of an enemy of an enemy must be a friend.

When lagos state assembly enacted the Yoruba language protection Bill, which mandated Yoruba language to be spoken in all government establishments, you ibos out of 400 tribes in nigeria started protesting and calling lagos a no man's land.

We might not know our friends, but ibos? You have made yourselves our enemies and so shall it be. We heard you loud and clearly during the last elections on how you were planning to foist Chinedu Vivor Rhodes on us and how you promised to remove Oba of Lagos, remove all the ba'ales in Lagos.

You must be crushed and totally destroyed!

Oba of Benin made the claim but your problem is Igbo people who did not make the claim. Why always Igbos?

Meanwhile, the Balogun of Eko Abisoye Oyeyemi Oshodi said his lineage is Nupe.

Does it mean there are indigenous Nupe people in Lagos?

There are indigenous Benin people in Lagos?

There are indigenous Braziliana in Lagos too?

There are indigenous Yorubas in Lagos!

No indigenous brazilians in lagos. In fact, indigenous brazilians are the oppressed
aboriginal indians. Brazil is presently dominated by a raft of caucasians
with european ancestry. What we have in lagos former Brazilian slave returnee descendants.
