There are also onicha's in Ebonyi.. Just like there are itsekiri and olukumi's (which are yoruba sub groups) in Delta state.

In reality, Onitsha was first inhabited by the Igalas who according to the current Obi of Onitsha in an Ofala day documentary I watched, took his migrant ancestors from the Bini region across the River Niger to their current location.

The Obi said in that 1987 documentary which the Ooni of Ife also attended, that he has Bini, Igala, and Ibo ancestry. Indeed, Onitsha which is called Onitsha Ado N'Idu has 8 quarters for the Igalas, Bini descendants, and Nri migrants from what I read in the advanced history books.
