He remarked, “Look at him condemning the bombing of innocent Nigerians in Kaduna by the Nigerian Army.” However, Omokri juxtaposed this with Obi’s purported silence on similar incidents that occurred in his hometown of Onitsha, particularly the burning of Chinedu and Omama a month ago. According to Omokri, Obi refused to condemn these events in the same manner he condemned the burning of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto on May 12, 2022.

Further, Omokri highlighted the disparity in Obi’s reactions to government actions in different regions. He stated, “Last week, he condemned Lagos’ demolition of illegal structures. But when Anambra demolished illegal structures, Peter Obi said nothing.” Omokri argued that these inconsistencies reveal a selective approach in Obi’s stance on governance issues.

Omokri expressed a broader observation, alleging that Obi tends to be more vocal and critical when events transpire outside Igboland. He stated, “If it happens outside Igboland, Peter Obi will shout loud and cry and dance naked. But if it occurs in the Southeast, Peter Obi pretends not to see it!” This characterization, according to Omokri, raises questions about Obi’s commitment to addressing issues consistently across all regions of the country.
