calm down, this is lagos and they are always committed to doing quality projects..tho they might embezzle small change like others.

Na truck fall am as the truck height is much higher
That is why there should be factors(such as height of vehicle, spanning and deflection, live load etc) considered when designing structures. This is not good for a state with bragging rights like lagos.

That pedestrian bridge has been standing for over 5 years and has never recorded such an incident...the fault is from the stupid truck driver!

This was not because of materials. It was caused by the bad judgement of the driver

until LASG starst instituting very public consequence management this nonsense will continue

freight logistics is a serious business not something for every tom dick and harry with a road worthless truck to embark on

this is what journey management and trip planning is about.

Stop disgracing yourself and always read before commenting. If you can't read, can't you see?
The vehicle is very high and touches the bridge, it is supposed to turn back but the driver forced it. Lagos pedestrian bridges are always very concrete.

Rivers, delta state that has the capacity to compete lagos but are busy sharing money amongst themselves should not be compared with Lagos?
Federal government give them huge allocation and yet many abandon project in those state.
Lagos is on the right track, with massive demolition and locking of event centers, very soon many houses in rural areas will be marked for demolition and many sub standard market shut down for reconstruction.. market like alaba int market. I hope you wont come here to scream government are wicked! bla.. bla bla.

They don’t sorry, and they can’t sorry.

Lagos can’t be compared, never and ever will it be.

You know how many businesses in Lagos ? The port, obasanjo closed all and left only Lagos in 2000, the headquarters of 90 percent companies,

You can’t compare, be logical not emotional please.

What is the width of a pedestrian bridge?
They are used by people on foot only, so, they are not same with real bridges that convey vehicles. It is a pedestrian bridge for people to cross busy street not a flyover.

Those places you mention earn more than lagos state

Lagos is africa 5th or 6th largest economy as a state. Meaning in 54 Africa countries, Lagos is larger than 48. Lagos should smaller than most of those places meaning lagos should be Singapore of africa. Lagos should be the pride of Nigeria and west Africa with its beautiful architecture. Roads and streets all tarred. Don’t support evil please. It took dubai 10years to build their city, before other development came in about 20 years to now.

Tinubu dynasty is 24 years. Lagos should be our Europe. Other states are measuring up to mediocre na why. If the big brother Lagos set Singapore and dubai standard. The rest go adjust.

Must we blame blindly always?
Are you blaming government for constructing the pedestrian bridge? or are you saying the bridge is below global standard?
Instead of you to direct your anger at the direction of the irresponsible driver/s, you are blaming politicians/government. You too can aswell put yourself forward as politician if you think you are better

Isn't this a clear case of accident? I agree with you that our politicians haven't been fear to us but the Alapere pedestrian bridge is clearly an accident caused by careless driver.

You toom the words right out of my mouth. The bridge is solid for at least another 50/100 years. Its an accident caused by a driver and Govt isn't to be blamed for this at all.

Obasanjo closing port did not bring Lagos to its present state. Visionary leaders did it. The reason those state are not comparable to Lagos is because they allow militant chase investors out.

you mean a bridge cannot destroy a moving truck let alone withstand it on impact?

The bridge isn't low ,I have been there and drive through that spot a lot, the truck must have miscalculated by underestimating the height of it's load instead of using a low flatbed truck. I witnessed one truck damage a pedestrian bridge coming from the apapa port years ago.its not everyone driving a vehicle has their brains intact.

Oh wow, thanks , it just make me cringe thinking what it would be like to be walking on a bridge and fiiam , Trunk don jam the bridge Comot under your feet ....

Anyway, Thank God no lives was reportedly lost ,,, and as for that clown that was blaming the Government without reading the article ... 😂😂😂😂😂 My condolences, for the many wotowoto you have been collecting from different angles.

You don’t get it or you just want to argue,

Lagos is Nigeria commercial capital, just like London to England, Johannesburg to sa, and so on, you no Dey hear or you just wan make Tinubu feel good, Lagos house 90 percent of headquarters, businesses, and largest Africa port, and largest population same as London is to England and others, don’t you think

Lagos is Nigeria former capital city. It’s stride have been there.
