Yes cooked it like beans. Ijust that one soya beans is strong and hard like stone... It takes very long time to boil. U have to boil and change the water like twice while cooking. It has its unique taste....add yam, fish, onions and season it, add red oil. Dish and well served. Very sweet though

This is the first time I will hear that people cook soyabeans like beans. I am curious about the taste and will try it one of these days.

Interesting grin. What you should have done is put the onions earlier on, onion actually makes beans soften faster. That style is how I cook my cow legs now since my pressure cooker is no longer pressure cookering. I boil the meat for about 30 minutes, leave it in hot water for hours or even overnight. By then it would have softened after which I boil again for another 20-30 minutes, dem no born am well make e no soft. Na to improvise sure pass with the way things are going in this country

pressure pot is no longer pressure cookering...hahahahahahahahahaha.....this one off me

I'm very serious. I timed myself throughout the cooking process. Just 32 minutes.

The one hour soaking wasn't part of the cooking process?

Inflation is stretching creativity.

We too like to suffer. No wonder the best occupation in our country is politics, since we have very low expectations of our officials in the local, state and federal governments either in the legislative or executive branch.

I soaked my beans in water and dropped it at the top of a mountain in the morning, by evening I brought it home and cooked for 2mins..

Ahhh yours is too much

I simply put my own washed beans into the pot... Pour water in the pot to the brim... Put all the ingredients ... Cover it... Then I pick up my Edo airways broom with my pot in one hand I fly to some kilometers to the sun 🌞 and wait for the beans and myself to cook for 30 seconds and I come back with cooked pot of beans always

Tinubu, it shall not be well with you o, since you resumed office, the total amount of mad people have increased. Lots of people are battleling depression, hunger and others and not mentally okay anymore due to the economic hardship caused by your various policies. No joy again in the country anymore. I wonder how this year Christmas go be

Country hard a......cook beans within 5 minutes πŸ˜‚ Oga Tinubu, you do this one. Na you motivate me. Thank you sir!
This is a pressure cooker.
It cooks beans within 20 mins
... by sealing the pot and not letting out any steam.
The pressure builds up. Then you can lower the heat.
Within 20 mins, your beans is cooked and very soft.
It was invented quite a long time ago and (1679).
it has been in our Nigerian markets for a long time too.

A good pressure pot isn't cheap at the moment, this method should be for those who can't afford one plus adding onions and salt from the beginning helps soften the beans too.

Go and get pressure pot... It's cheaper to use and cooks faster

A funny hack people don't use,

If you want fresh pounded yam.....

Cut your yam in small cubes

Cook your yam in a pressure pot to the best softness

Drain the water

Put it in a blender or food processor and blend

Take it out and allow to be cold for few minutes

Serve with your favorite soup

.

Pressure pot that that has high power rating that requires electricity to cook? This won't favour those that use prepaid meter. It will finish your meter units. It drains power. Except those that tap electricity directly that this will work for.

He meant 32 minutes with the gas on. The 1 hour doesn’t count, coz gas was not involved in the process. He even said it’s best for who isn’t in a hurry.
This means, he prepared beans with 32 minutes worth of gas. Very economically and logical at the same time.

Tinubu economy... Las Las we all go get sense.

Don't mind all of them shouting pressure pot as if it's something you can just pick-up from a roadside kiosk for N100. The cheapest pressure pot I saw on Jumia costs 25k which I'm sure must be substandard, how is a struggling student or low income earner supposed to afford that?

You're very correct, I actually achieved this in 25 minutes. Sound unbelievable but check my method.
In the evening, I cooked the beans for 15 minutes, then pour inside my child big food flask, the type that retain heat for a very long time, left this overnight. In the morning I pour it back into the pot and cook again for 10 minutes, viola. It was done.
