Nnpc need to be overhauled completely, that Organization is opaque and too corrupt. They are one of the reasons the naira is plunging further.former cbn governor complained about them not remitting money. Nobody knows how much nnpc is making every year. |

Caseless: Ajaokuta Steel located in Kogi was a complete disaster. A full train wreck. Oil producing is different from gas producing. Most of Nigeria's gas is located deep in the south and offshore. Why waste money piping or trucking raw gas to Kogi when the gas can be refined close to its source and finished product trucked or piped up north? 1 Like |

airsaylongcome:Ajaokuta steel failed because of its location or international politics of that time? It has continued to fail because Nigerian politicians have discovered it's way to siphon public funds, so they left it in that state to use it to steal instead of making it to work. Ajaokuta was 90% complete before the issue started. We heard it was the rail line to the steel plant that was needed, since the number of trucks it'd require to get its daily feedstock from Itakpe to the plant would be in thousands, a rail line was required and I think Buhari built one. If it's about location, the aluminum company in Ikot Abasi is moribund and that's not in the north. NNPCL is complaining that 4800 illegal pipes connected to the pipeline and, they found in 100km length of pipeline there 300 illegal pipes connected. Looking at the situation, you still think it's better to use push gas from the south? 2 Likes 1 Share |

naptu2:Similarly, the Small-Scale LNG (SSLNG) Project agreement was signed by the Managing Director, NNPC Trading Ltd., Mr. Lawal Sade, on behalf of NNPC Prime LNG Ltd. while Mr. Abhinav Modi, Managing Director of SDP Services Ltd., signed on behalf of his company. The SSLNG Project, which will be located at Ajaokuta in Kogi State, Central Nigeria, will ensure the efficient supply of LNG to the Autogas/Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and industrial/commercial customers nationwide. The LNG Project is expected to be operational by December 2024. |
