Why is nnpc not remitting monies made from crude oil sales This question needs a convincing answer.

They are using them to pay Nigeria's dollar-dominated debts.

I stopped reading at "... Nigeria's 2024 Budget hopes to focus on priority spending".

I hate it when people just talk for the sake of talking.

With this level of corruption and cluelessness, it doesn't even matter how much we generate... It will never be enough for the greed of these corrupt leaders.

Here they come from the Bretton Woods covert with their chokehold policies targeted at the poor nations and citizens.

What would they advise the incompetent leaders to do to increase their revenues? Of course, your guess is as good as mine (tax increases).

Keep on borrowing from them while they keep dictating to you how deep to dig your graves.

And the very little it's managing to generate, majority of it is misappropriated, stolen and used to pay external debt...........

Nigeria is generating enough. Mandate thief and cronies are looting everything. Not paying attention to sectors that would create real positive changes. Eg. Education. Indeed the mandate thief is overrated!!! Nothing positive; things got worse; could not even resolve the crisis in the Education sector created by his party. Even wicked and failure Buhari approved something for ASUU and put it in 2023 budget, yet the mandate thief has not paid them up till this December, 2023. Now another ASUU strike is coming up Feb 2024. It will take just one more ASUU strike for the Federal Universities in Nigeria to completely collapse! Just one more!!!

When a man uses 60% of his income for feeding alone, taxing him is much harder. Another man using 10%-20% for feeding is easily able to pay higher taxes.
In principle, people should be taxed for prosperity and not for survival.
Taxing people for surviving is slavery. It is prosperity based tax that connotes partnership.

How will they generate revenue when the economy is in shambles and all you looters could do is blame an opposition member.

2015, it was blaming Jonathan for disaster they were creating and now, they are attacking Obi as if he is the president.

If you don't know simple economics, in portable's lyrics "Clear" the way for people with productive plans for the country.

DON'T TELL US THIS NONSENSE BIKO!THIS IS HOW FAR U HAVE PUSHED OUR CLUELESS LEADERS IN TO STRANGULATING THE POOR ECONOMICALLY.African economy and that of the whites have different indices for progress and development. We have enough to bring the massies out of abdject poverty it's just d serial influx of satanic corrupt politicians we elect at all levels that is responsible for this mess the nation is in to.WHAT WAS D TRUE PERCENTAGE EXPENDITURE OF THE LAST YEAR BUDGET ON INFRASTRUCTURE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AS STATED IN D 2023 BUDGET ?were they judiciously used as claimed ,what percentage ended up in private pockets ? Why are we crying over dollar scarcity today ?They were used during election to buy delegates !HAVE WE SO SOON FORGOTTEN?Lecturers were the most bought during the last elections ,they were the ones collating results at the various centres. All our delegates collected millions of dollars last time, only few candidates didn't bribe their way in to office last year, we all saw the mess !Let our leaders use the available funds like the anual budgets well and see true transformation in this nation just in 4years !.

IMF, World Bank and the rest....

I am sure their real intension is turn NIGERIA into another Venezuela...

Venezuela has been an oil producer since 1914 when the first commercial oil, Venezuela has the world's largest proven oil reserves at an estimated 304 billion barrels (18% of global reserves) as of 2020. About 94% of the population in Venezuela lives on the poverty line, with more than 80% of them having already lost an average of 19 kg due to malnutrition.

Nigeria Leaders should be careful of these organisations working to destroy any emergng economy...

How many economy in the world have they advised and you see prosper...

Dubai, China and others doing fine would NEVER listen to them....

NIGERIA POLITICIANS make una CALM DOWN FROM ADVISE OF THE REAL ENEMY...in disguise.

Oga, Resources is not the problem but the management. Do you know how much we make from selling crude oil annually? No body is talking about the solide mineral mine in the North. These revenue have all been diverted to different personal pockets.
