Military is the most corrupt institution. The worst of democracy is far far better than the best of military

Oga Sir I beg to disagree with your point considering the ratio of people involved in corruption

Only the top officers can get away with looting in the military BUT our dear politicians from councilor to Mr president are corrupt

Even if one wants to be different the system will not permit you

The property was acquired in 2012. What was the generals position in 2012? Was he a general as at then? What is the correlation between his current position and a property that they claimed was acquired in 2012, when he had not attained his current status. What are the details of the other properties owned by the general in the USA? Some of these journalists dish out any kind of beer parlour journalism just to trend. A property acquired in the USA as at 2012 would have significantly appreciated in a place like Georgia. Besides, its not so easy maintaining up to 7 different buildings in the USA. Seriously, this country cannot progress with the campaign of calumny against the military. Come to the United States and see how American soldiers and veterans are being treated and you will know that we are not being fair on our people. These guys here have alot of discounts for virtually every service rendered to them and they are given topmost priority in job applications when they retire. But in Nigeria, its a different issue entirely. If a soldier does his job, they will look for fault. If he fails, he is treated like an orphan. Only God would have known what Nigeria will be if there was no military, because even the slightest of jobs that should be handled by the police and other security services are being handled by these guys to the point of sacrificing their lives.
.

Ah! Nigeria is finished

Think out of the box. I use the word "if" because he may have a private business. Go to east, u will see businessmen/boys that control more than that. He may have a company or firm that gives him money. Not everyone depend on salary.

This one loud.

However, a quick search shows that the house was sold in 2013 for $480,000.

So that means the man bought it in 2013 for $480k and it’s currently worth $1,013, 000 in 2023.

Saharareporters should have given that details.

Let’s even say the wife has been in USA working in corporate America, a house of $480k in 2013 is still a big purchase I guess. But I think reporting the actual thing as it goes will give people more details on this.

That was the first thing I did. Google the address. US homes will show all the details including time house was sold or bought. How come Sahara reporter based in US will not know when the house was bought and for how much. This house was bought in 2013 for $480,0000. The scream of mudslinging. Like he was particularly targeted. More so, houses can be bought over 35 years in US. That way you only paying $3000 monthly. This is definitely a huge money knowing the Army won't pay him that kind of money legitimately but Sahara should be fair in their reporting
