Nigeria doesn't need any more states for goodness sake ?

I read with total disgust a new thread started in the politics section about proposed new states to be created in geopolitical zones. But the honest truth is why on earth will the law makers be bothering themselves with such misplaced priorities when there are much more serious issues begging for attention.

As long as states are not commercially viable and self sustainable we do not need any more states in Nigeria. Besides i believe all things that we should be bothered with right now. The last thing would be state creation. As long as our constitution enables state governors to embezzle security votes that can not be accounted for or is it the ridiculous Immunity clause that covers the governors we should talk about.

Any way you look at it, the last thing the economy needs is an increased bloated governance which we need to trim down to save ourselves from the impending economic disaster we are bound to face,
