You're not informed so argue with room for learning . Imo has always been high in GDP and the oil and gas has been on for a while. Uzodinma's government reduced the economy following their failure in securing the State and assure visitors of hitch free stay without fear.

God bless you. If anything uzodinma is benefiting from the work okorocha did to attract more oil and gas investments like seplat and waltersmith. Also it was okorocha that opened up new owerri which has developed today. Uzodinma cannot take any credit for what others have done.

Yes, that's common sense. No state governor will inflate their IGR, instead they will reduce the actual figure, thereby giving us an idea of what their states generate.

But you see GDP, it takes a lot of time, resources and efforts to calculate it. That's why I always I doubt the GDP figures World Bank dishes out most times.
Ignorant mind, most governors inflate their IGR to deceive international and local lenders that they generate money for them to be able to borrow more from them, IGR isn't tool to measure economy in anywhere in economics, go and read the methodology used in conducting NGDP, CBN are involved

God bless Hope Uzodinma and my great father
God Bless owerri, mbaitolu, mbano and ikeduru
God Bless IMO state
God Bless Igboland and rid US of hate, bile envy and senselessness especially Obi ...diots
God direct the steps of igbo Leaders
God Bless Nigeria my fatherland
God Bless Deutschland....blüte Deutschland( Vaterland)

Even as an adult (I am presuming you are though you don't act like one), you are just so shameless and behave like a thoughtless agbadorian! What major investment has your Hope attracted or brought to Imo State after 4 years in office?

Go to Imo thread, it's practically dead because your Hope does nothing. I always say that in these days that everyone has smartphones, a governor doesn't have to pay the media to share his good works.

Just do the right thing and turn everyone in your state to a vlogger. We have seen that happen in Akwa Ibom under Godswill Akpabio, Ebonyi under Dave Umahi, Enugu under Sullivan Chime, Anambra (it has become a tradition) and today, Abia under Alex Otti.

One thing I've come to learn is that there is merits and demerits in whatever a leader seems to focus on. We may call it opportunity cost so Uzodinma isn't a bad leader except that he made critical mistakes during the early stages of the insecurity that has made it difficult for him to resolve. His focus is more on using his good relationship with Government at the center in reconstructing the link roads connecting Imo to other States. Okorocha's focus was different and his Presidential ambition made his party APC starve Imo of federal presence unlike Uzodinma that has no such ambition.

Uzodinma if he is wise should organize amnesty program like okorocha did to resolve this security issues.

This is a baseless assumption. If this was true, then every state in Nigeria would be as rich as or close to being as rich as Lagos State so they can borrow more. States are more likely to understate and steal their IGR than inflate it. They tell us the one they want us to know.

As for measuring wealth from IGR, I don't agree with you either. The sustainability of a state without Abuja handouts depends on its IGR. What happens to IGR in most states with big IGR is that the money is looted.

I Disagree, it’s time to formalize everything in both Abia and Anambra. It affects investment decisions by investors. It’s time to leave 19th century thinking and enter 21st century.

Exactly, we need to upscale the informal sector and drive SME growth in Anambra and Abia. That is an old way of thinking. There should be a fine balance between the formal and informal sectors of the economy if we really want to drive growth in these 2 states.

Because Imo surpassed all of them to get to where it is today. I have been tracking this for years. That’s why I included all those states.

He failed because he refused to handle the insecurity with the grassroots but chose bombing as the first step and coming on TV to admit he did it. Okorocha was able to curtail IPOB and Niger Delta crisis in Imo without killing anyone but through community based enlightenment and security system. That is where Uzodinma failed. I always say the truth and stand nothing to lose.

Ipob cannot be reasoned with.. You only reason with reasonable people.. Okorocha did not have ipob problem because Okoro and Jonathan ended their tenure same time.. Out of hate and bitterness of losing election politicians galvanized MNK... During Jonathan /Okorocha.. ipob was still just coming to prominence... Mnk started making real noise after Buhari won

Why are you triggered?
Even Wikipedia 2021 GDP figures of Nigerian states was computed in ñaira and Imo state was 4th largest as of 2021 in Nigeria, behind rivers, LAGOS and Akwa Ibom.

Imo gas industry is booming and she's the largest gas producer in West Africa, it's expected that her economy will grow drastically since gas is the future. Stop being triggered

I've asked this question before....can anyone tell us what comes to Imo state treasury every month from all the gas being exploited from the state? As much as i believe those states producing oil are being cheated of their resources, at least we can see what they get from derivation payments every month/year. If there's no way of knowing what the Imo is receiving, than it just shows how it's being milked dry while receiving little or nothing in return!
