“Before the exit of the last administration, the Federal Government went through litigation and settlement was reached.
“The federal government paid $496m to the Indian firm for breach of agreement.”
Audu’s submissions infuriated a member of the Committee, Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, who queried the rationale for paying N1.5bn annually to the staff of a firm that had been concessioned. Akpoti Uduaghan also wondered why the termination of the agreement was done in private without the public being aware of it:

so Akpoti is finally doing work. Governor Bello must be ashamed of himself. dat Buhari govt was corrupt. they should go after Malami. they hide everything from the public.

Indians and Lebanese are scammers, Nigeria government like doing business with them so they can collabo to swindle the nation
Many Indians and Lebanese have nationalized and even marry Nigerian women due to the successes of their dubious business activities in Nigeria.

Your submission makes sense but unfortunately, our National Assembly - have been too docile to change the narrative to favour the Masses!
•How would the Foreigners give you respect, when they know, you need money too! eg- the Elumelu Power -------House Committee- that ended up being very compromised because of accusations of Corruption!
-Another example is the directives by House to DStv,the Estimated Billings - the Gbajabiamila House said should stopped by DISCOS but still very much alive in Nigeria- as the NEPA/ DISCOS Officials just types Nonsense into your Phone and claims it's your Monthly Power Usage- when indeed, No Lights was given at all, to the People!
-Such Nonsense can never happened in USA,for Congress to give directives, and some people turned it down!
- Even the Ajaokuta Steel Production - was a Monumental Fraudulent Manipulations - aided by NIGERIANS and Foreigners - the Russians, and others are all involved!
Very Shameful Indeed

The legistures are contractors, they have companies opened with the names of their relatives and concubines.
When they get these contracts they either do a shoddy job or abandon it completely.
Corruption is Nigeria biggest undoing

God bless sen. Natasha Akpoti. If not for her, they would go ahead like it's nothing.

Obaofaba:
This is bad.

The useless foreign company wronged Nigeria and it's people, yet we paid them penalty for breach of contract when according to the report, they are the one that breached the terms of the contract.

Not just that, we've been dashing the company 1.5billion naira for three years and they want the fourth year included in next year budget to pay their staffs.

Nigeria, just when you think you've seen it all.

A few weeks ago, a memo was reportedly submitted to the FCT minister seeking for about N80b for the construction of an estate, FCTA will provide land (you know how expensive land dey for Abuja), provide the infrastructure (roads and what not), provide the money (the N80b to be signed by the minister) while the developer or contractor will build and thereafter sell to the public, and still walj away with the profit. The director in charge was confidently defending the s*** to the amazement of everyone, even Wike had to retort "I have never seen something like this".

You begin to wonder if there is Akamu in place of brain in some of these guys heads.

Yesterday, it was Obj saying he never awarded the contract for Mambilla, the Minister went ahead to commit the country to 30 years of back and forth and lost opportunities to the tune of $bs.

God deliver our country, but we seriously need to standardize our contracting and procurement system, plus comprehensively deal with the civil service.

She said, “The Indian firm could not perform, they denied Nigerians access to the iron ore company for three years.

“Instead of them being penalised for depriving Nigeria, it’s social and economic growth, we compensated them further by paying them $469m.

“This committee would like to see the court papers that penalised Nigeria.

“Mr. Chairman (of the Committee) let us concentrate on the budget defence now and organise a public hearing on it later.

“This is because we cannot continue to enrich some people at the detriment of our dear country.”

Does this even make sense? Who cursed this country?

So, someone would come and get concession, they'd default or breach the contract and there's no clause to say if they default, they'd pay fines and if the fault is from us, they'd pay?

They breached, we terminated and we're the ones to pay? Too bad!

Like that P&ID case, some Nigerians are collaborating with foreigners to rip Nigeria. We have to come hard on such people.
