This great man was an avid sponsor of the St John Bosco Scholarship Scheme in St.Patrick's College, Calabar, his Alma Mater. The scheme ran for many years and a lot of students benefited from it. He, amongst others, sponsored a lot of developmental drive in the school. I'm so proud and genuinely grateful that I also benefited from his philanthropic gestures to that institution.

He used to visit during the St Patrick feast day (March 17) and inspired many student to strive higher.

The Great Patrician lives on. May God receive your soul Dr Thomas John.

A cycle of human existence has ended. Thomas Asuquo John was an icon and veteran in the oil and gas industry. I remember that younger attached pic of his when he was still the GMD of NNPC from 1990 to 1992.
