Edo 2024: Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, JP, aka JOEFEL, Meets Edo Central PDP Senatorial Leaders, Declares Intention

As the People's Democratic Party Edo 2024 governorship primary draws closer, a leading Edo State People's Democratic Party (PDP) Gubernatorial Aspirant, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, JP, aka JOEFEL, on Sunday the 17th of December, visited PDP leaders in Edo central senatorial district, declared his intention to run for Edo State 2024 governorship race, and appeal for their support.

Addressing the well attended meeting of political leaders at the Edo Central Senatorial secretariat in Uromi the headquarters of Esan North East Local Government, the former ALGON National President reiterated his commitment to continue putting smiles on the faces of the people by providing necessary development Infrastructure and social welfare for the citizens of Edo State when elected as Governor come 2024.

JOEFEL as He is popularly known, and The former First Vice President, World Conference of Mayors insisted that dividends of democracy as mainly the intrinsic value of democratization in the society needed to be extended from the centre of authority to all the nooks and crannies of the state, as this is the essential reason for his political move to vie for the state leadership seat at Osadeby Avenue.

Hon. Felix Akhabue appreciated every leaders of the party who have always be there for him in times past, stood by him, and also have been very resilient for the party all along, and appeal to the people for their continue support.

According to the "Edo Star Home Boy, I have come to offer myself to serve, I can’t do it alone, I need all the supports both in Human & Material resources from all members of the party, as well as all the citizens, even as he strongly recorgnise the fact that Power belongs to God, though it is not always served with ease, and one must be ready to fight for it. He therefore assured the Leaders and Party structures across the Edo Central Senatorial District from the Wards to the LGAs and Senatorial that He has the Capacity and Capabilities to win the election and deliver good Governance that the party and the citizens will be very proud of.

The Former Commissioner for wealth creation, Cooperatives and Empowerment confidently asserted "Trusting God that I will be your Candidate, be the Incoming Governor, I will serve you, and We shall do the work together through collaboration and understanding, and the citizens shall be glad that the PDP produced a candidate like Me".

The former Esan West L. G. Council Chairman assured the Leaders that having worked under 3 Governors and government of Edo state from His Excellencies, Sen. Prof. Osunbor, Com. Oshomhole, to the Current Governor Obaseki as a cabinet member, and also led both the 18 Local Government Council Chairmen in Edo state, as well as the 774 Local Government Councils in Nigeria, he has got the needed experience and best fit among all other aspirants to win that party's ticket, win the election, and lead the state. He also declared that he represent the "Poly-Technocrats" that understands the language of leadership of all sectors / segments and the citizens.

Godsent as his name implies also asserted that as a "Star Home-Boy" that have lived among the people, school from Primary to University, build his businesses from scratch to present status in the state, understand the terrain and the legion of problems bedeviling the state, the leaders should know that he is not only going to develop the state for the citizens alone, but also for himself as one of the major beneficiary as it affects almost every aspects about him and his family to the extent that himself, his family, and his legion of businesses are rooted across Edo state from the South, to the Central, and to the North Senatorial District, and that he will continue to live among the people even after governance and public service, noting that one can only lead a People and Environment very well that he or she understands, as it is very difficult, if not a mirage or deception to imagine leading a people and environments that one barely know or understand.

The governorship aspirant to beat told the audience that His Manifesto will soon be out and his blue print will clearly outline His mission and Vision. He also assured the audience that he represent the Revolutionary Leader that the state needs at this point in time to begin from where other's have stopped to REVOLUTIONIZE all the sectors of the state ranging from the economy, education, agriculture, security, social welfare, technology, inter & intra connecting roads networks, other infrastructures, civil service friendliness, et al.

The Edo Central Senatorial Leaders, speaking through the Senatorial Chairman Arch-Bishop Okosun assured Joefel of a free, fair, and credible primaries as assured also by the NWC of the party. He admonished the aspirant whom many described as "His Excellency incoming" to go about his campaign, and ensure he takes the massage to other Senatorial district, as though it is the desire of the majority that the next Governor should come from Esan, but certainly all other Senatorial district are strongly needed to make the wish and desire come through, and that he will be the happiest Man to see that Esan produced the best candidate and GOVERNOR like Felix AKHABUE that the state would be very proud of in his time.

The party thereafter prayed for the success of Joefel's aspiration specifically through The leader of Esan Central L. G. A, Most Snr. Apostle Adekunle Oboh.

The audience included all the Senatorial caucus, executives, the 5-LGA chairmen & working committee, the 31-ward chairmen and major ward leaders across the Edo central Senatorial district.
