The unit of measuring grain such as Rice up here in the North is MUDU. It's 8 cups of Tin milk when you go ahead to break it down. It was sold for 1200 yesterday in the market. I don't know if there's a distinct differences between the two.

There is. Even the Mudu comes in different sizes for different states.
The Mudu of rice u bought 1200 is obviously the smallest mudu.
