A 30-year-old technician, Emmanuel Achogwu, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly stealing four solar panels in the Ikosi area of the state on Monday.

The state police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, who made the news of the arrest known on his verified X handle on Monday, said the stolen four panels were meant to power streetlights in the area.

Hundeyin added that the suspect was one of the technicians contracted to install the panels in the area before he returned to vandalise them.

He wrote, “Recently, #followlasg installed some solar-powered streetlights in some parts of the state. A few weeks later, the solar panels were stolen.

“The police were informed and got to work. A few days ago, 30-year-old Emmanuel Achogwu was arrested by officers from Alausa Division on Ikosi Road with four solar panels, moments after he removed them.”

“Investigation reveals that the suspect was one of the technicians contracted to install the solar-powered streetlights. The investigation is ongoing.”

This is a serious case and the law will take its course as usual. This is Lagos, only those who obey our laws will be blessed by our land.

The law will take its course just like the case of Chinaza who in a court report reportedly set ablaze our Lagos multi billion naira worth BRT buses and ultra modern park on the orders of Mr Nnamdi Kanu of the outlawed IPOB group.

Patriotic Nigerians of every tribe must coalesce to resist blackmail and expose the unpatriotic elements who misrepresent their tribes as if any attempt to challenge their crime is an attack on their tribe.

All the enemies of Lagos , SW and Nigeria will lose las las. God bless Nigeria for ever!Check my signature for free stuffs!

You're a bloody liar. You were so quick to start this topic because you thought that the surname "Achogwu" is Igbo. Well, sorry to break it to you, but that person is from Benue State.

You even had to buttress your tribalist propaganda with a screenshot from one of your agbado tabloids talking about a certain "Chinasa" that burnt BRT buses. A "Chinasa" that no one ever hears of unless agbado miscreants wants to accuse the Igbos of wrecking havoc on their lands. I have some questions for you if you don't mind indulging me:

Pray tell, why wasn't this case followed up? Why is this unknown person the only scapegoat in a statewide unrest? Was it this same Chinasa that burnt TVC? Was it this same Chinasa or IPOB that took your Oba's staff of office from his throne room inside his Palace and paraded the whole Lagos Island with it? Isn't it a let down on the yoruba's that in their own land, Igbos were moving from place to place freely destroying infrastructure with zero resistance? Are you saying that your people are that porous? That translucent? That shallow? Bloody liar!

You're an agent of lies and deceit on this forum, you gently plant seedlings of hate and discord using flowery words as drapery for your cunning shades. You're one of the very many bad eggs that Seun needs to do away with if NL is to ever rise above bigotry and tribalism. People should be weary of you. A word is enough for the wise.

When I told a Lagosian friend of my plan to install a solar panel car porch, she shouted, what if the panels are stolen?

I live in Osun, so I couldn't process how people will jump a fence, climb on top of a car porch roof and steal solar panels......

Well, I guess it's real.
