The Peoples Democratic Party has released the timetable and schedule of activities for the February 3, 2024 bye-elections.

The PUNCH reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission approved a timetable for conducting bye-elections resulting from the resignation or demise of members of the National and State Houses of Assembly.

The PDP timetable signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, released on Tuesday, revealed that notice of primary election and congresses to state chapter will begin on Wednesday, December 27, 2023.

The sale of nominations, expression of interest and delegates forms will begin on Thursday, December 28, 2023, and end on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

The primary election is slated for Monday, January 8, 2024, and appeals on the party primary are scheduled to be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.

The party pegs the price for the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly at N3.5m, N2.5m and N600,000 respectively.

The statement read, “Please note that female aspirants and persons living with disabilities are to pay for nomination forms only.

“Youths (male/female) below 40 years are to purchase Expression of Interest forms, but with a 50% discount on nomination forms.

“Please, contact the Directorate of Organisation and Mobilisation at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja for further details on how to purchase the forms.”

Someone please remind Tinubu his job.
He was blaming Jonathan for everything and now he's in power his lapdogs are making excuses for his ineptitude.

Almost 200 people murdered in Jos and we've heard nothing from the Ronu cartel.

A good re-start.

Expensive tickets and electioneering ,make politicians lose conscience against looting.

Keeping the stakes low, is a route to good governance.
