Plateau Killings: Why Military Failed To Stop Killing Of Over 200 Nigerians -DHQ by Racoon(m): 2:11pm On Dec 30, 2023
The Nigerian military has provided explanations as to why troops could not stop the coordinated attacks on Plateau communities which led to the killing of over 200 people.

Addressing journalists on the activities of troops across the country in 2023, the Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj-Gen Buba Edward, said that the Bokkos and Barkin Ladi areas of Plateau State spanned about 2,315 square kilo-metres with over 350 villages, mostly dispersed. He noted that while troops had intervened in other communities, the damage was done before they arrived Bakkos and Barkin Ladi.

“The distance between some of these villages and troops’ locations is over 90 kilometres and sometimes difficult to access because of the rugged terrain which is mostly inaccessible to vehicles. Thus, affecting the reaction time to incidents, except when there is credible intelligence before the attack,” Edward said on Friday, December 29.

“On the night of 23 December 2023, over 100 marauding armed militant herders suspected to be mercenaries, carried out a series of unprovoked attacks from multiple fronts on Kambarpeli village in the Bokkos LGA of Plateau State while the locals were asleep. The militants unleashed mayhem on the villagers before the arrival of troops to the location.

“Similarly, on 24 December 2023, at about 1900 hrs, troops received a total of 36 distress calls from diverse locations simultaneously. “The distress calls reported a series of coordinated attacks by armed militant herders on isolated villages in Bokkos and part of Barkin Ladi LGAs of Plateau State.

“Troops responded to the calls and were able to intervene in 19 villages forcing the militants to withdraw. Unfortunately, the havoc had been committed before troops arrived at the other villages,“ he noted. In response to the letters notifying residents of a potential attack, Buba vowed that such an incident would never occur again in the state.

He said: “Attacks on Plateau will never repeat itself. We have put modalities in place to ensure that whatever limited us the last time that did not allow us to get to some of these locations on time has been eliminated. We are aware of the letters and we are doing something. We are seriously going after those who perpetrated the crime.”

Just imagine this shitty press release instead of profuse apology follow up with massive resignation of the top hierarchy of the Nigerian military for these incessant attacks and massacre of hapless citizens that they have failed to protect.

Are the president, VP, SP, SHOR, Ministers, governors, LGS chairs, councillors not being heavily protected by armed personnel? So the protection of the ordinary citizen is now being determined by topography, climate change, or environmental condition.

Instead of straffing or carpet bombing these fulani jihadists whose mission of annihilation and domination have been an open secret from antiquity, the military is blistering the life out of its citizens whose tax is being used to keep it alive. Now to protect citizens long beleaguered by well known criminal and treasonable terrorists, here it is offering explanation. What a failed state.

Just watch the above video and weep for this nation. Former governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state have not offered any word since these senseless attacks on the Plateau despite marketing the Muslim-Muslim presidency. Then, the loquacious and garrulous Femi Fani-Kayode have long kept mute because food no reach am for government. He is now an ambassador of "my friend and terrorist brothers" Chai! cry cry cry

The military needs overhaul like Obasanjo did in 1999, it has been infiltrated and dominated by the Fulanis since Buhari carried out recruitment based on sentiments and using the military as rehabilitation ground for ex terrorists.
What is the duty of DSS apart from detaining Nnamdi Kanu and trying to kill Sunday Igboho for resisting Fulani jihadists plans against South East and South West, even till now no arrests have been made and foreign Fulanis who came into the country on the invitation of Buhari with his open border policy have taken over abandoned communities in many areas in North Central.

President Buhari has made it his lifelong ambition to oppose any form of restructuring. He has been an advocate of Fulani supremacy all his life. He has been a strong advocate and promoter of Sharia law and the Islamic faith.

He has been a loyal disciple of Uthman Dan Fodio who believed that the entire Nigeria was meant for the Northerners to occupy, rule and control. That is why Buhari has had a long standing ambition to become President to continue this hegemonic ambition of Fulanis to rule, control and dominate Nigeria. Now, the ambition is even beyond Nigeria.

The entire Fulani people across Africa are looking for a home for all Fulanis and Buhari has been seen as a suitable Grand Patron for that agenda. So, right now Buhari is acting as grand patron of that agenda for the pan- African Fulani people

That is why you see a lot of killer herdsmen today, many of them are not Nigerians. They are coming from Mali, Niger, Gambia and all African countries where you have Fulanis. They believe that this is the place God has ordained for them to be their home and Buhari is facilitating that for them.

That is why they are killing our people & want to take over our lands. If you notice, as soon as they ravage a village and kill the villagers, they take over the village and they rename the village and give it a Fulani name. Very soon, they install an Emir and turn it into an Emirate. That is what they want to do all over the country through RUGA settlement.

"...The reason Buhari won’t do anything about the growing insecurity is that the perpetrators of the crimes that have held the region hostage have been identified as Fulani.Buhari is a knee-jerk ethnic jingoist. He has a twisted idea of ethnic solidarity. The truth is that he doesn’t care. The government Buhari leads can’t and doesn’t want to stem the rising tide of insecurity in the northwest or anywhere else in Nigeria...."

Because of rugged terai but buhari supposedly spent billions of naira on attack helicopters or other aerial assets the military could use to drop soldiers in those villages or simply bomb the terrorist while they gather and plotted

The Nigerian security agencies lack what we call information gathering or reconnaissance, they always wait for terrorists to attack before they repel, even in ancient worlds, armies often send out recon teams or sentinels to scoop information on the enemies so as to plan better attack and mount aggressive offensive

The army, instead of using the drones in their possession to gather information on movements of terrorists and their gathering in the forests , they would rather bomb innocent villages, and come out with flimsy excuses

Such a pathetic and unprofessional conduct from the army chief, if tinubu don’t want to end up like buhari which he is already cruising to, these army chiefs should be sacked asap or have their salaries and bonuses held for a full year.

Terrorists are more organized than Nigerian military.

DSS is a useless organization. They have never uncovered a single plot by these jihadist terrorists.

The military said they responded in the second attack but they didn't catch any terrorist. Why didn't they pursue them till they are caught?
Motorcycles used by terrorists are faster than helicopters used by military?

Stupid excuses.
Why do the military use helicopters?
With two helicopters, our military can get there in less than 15 minutes.
This idiotic military officer will not focus on the North, their concern is the East looking for ipob

Some fools will still see this looming danger yet still refair to them as bandits.
Some newspaper houses will call it Farmers herders clash, while some folks will rather concentrate their energy in hating the Igbos and are too scared to death to type the word FULANI...And Nigerians are even willing to reward the same FULANI with presidency, than an Igbos man being one just because the Igbos voted their choice in their state..so,let the Fulanis kill as much as they want, we Nigerians are just plain stupid.
