Back to that verse in scriptures,women and men's clothes have changes over the years and with every culture. The Scottish kilts which is a sign of a strong man will be called a mini skirt in another culture

Its okay for you to dispute his point, you see women use to be seen as unclean during their monthly cycle, as such they were commanded not to wear a man's clothing as u automatically make it unclean, they were not also allowed to do a lot of things during this period.

In this same chapter where he quoted, you find the below.
Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.

So if you wear a shirt made of cotton and wool you have sinned. You wear only cotton or only wool

You can read the whole chapter to see all of God's commandments.

If we decide to ignore the whole chapter, why stick to women not wearing a man's cloth?

In Scotland where men traditionally wear skirts would the women be called sinners? Or in parts of Nigeria where men use wrappers would they be called sinners.

And if they want to be very specific about trousers, there were no trousers in Bible days so don't imply God was talking about trousers.

Stop misquoting the scripture, a trouser is not for men alone and that scripture doesn't mention trousers because it was yet to be then.

Wearing a thing that pertain to a man simply means putting a men's garment instead of a lady's cloth j7st because of the bodily discharge.

The reason for this is because when they left Egypt it led to great or mass departure ( Exodus) and they all camped together and both male and female were all together as a result of this belongings were mixed and mistaken for others making someone put on the cloth and garment which doesn't belong to them because they all have a similar dressing pattern which is a gown or long rope.

I am equally a CAC member and have spent 4 decades in the church because I was birthed there and I understand everything but modesty is what the Bible teaches and godly character.

What pertains to a man? Where was it defined that trouser is man's wear and skirt is woman's wear. Those things are cultural. A Swedish man for instance wear skirt as part of his cultural identity and there are places in the world where women culturally wear trousers.
If you want to properly translate that verse of the scripture well, it should occur to you that there are even trousers in our culture that as man the moment you see, you conclude is a woman's trousers and you won't dare buy it for yourself. That verse of the scripture happens to be one of the most wrongly quoted verse of the scripture. God is interested in decency and in as much as a dressing is not provocative and seductive, you will be surprised God isn't going to judge anyone by what he or she wears. He looks at the hearts while human focus on outward appearance. Someone who dresses to seduce another irrespective of how decent the dressing is assumed has condemned himself/herself.

Where is it written that a trouser pertains to a man only?
Was there trousers in the Bible times?
This means someone like you and I invented trousers, men liked it and started wearing it.
Another person like you and I invented "female trousers" , women liked it and started wearing it!

Now, let me tell you what that verse actually means. It means whatever item that a person already uses and possesses, the opposite gender cannot possess and use it.
You can't wear your girlfriend's footwear, your female friend can't wear your shirt, etc.
