I came across this salary Scale of Lecturers in University of Ibadan and I was wondering whether Lecturers in Nigerian universities get up to this per month. Is this per year?

Na wa o! It is pitiable if this is what they receive yearly. No wonder "blocking" is a norm with some of this lecturers.... That professor salary is just ridiculous considering how much he/she spends to reach that cadre.... Most.civil servants don't need to spend a dime to get to the zenith of thier profession..

Some States own universities are paying pretty good too...I know a state owns university that was paying between 350k and 450-500k in southwest...a friend of mine was paying 150k as an assistance lecturer while junior lecturer was collecting 180k some few years ago.

No Professor earns upto 450k irrespective of how many years you have stayed in the system not to talk of 560k. Where did u get your information from. ]

I don't know how much tertiary institution teachers are paid per month, what I saw up there are basic salaries and someone said they receive up to 650k and that the stated amounts were false.

So I made him understand that they are just basic salaries not the gross salaries.

Thank you. What does the the "X" so so so amount mean before another big money for example #2, 457 355 X 27,000 - # 3, 488, 487. That x27,000 means what?
