According to The Sun, The former presidential candidate of Labour party, Mr Peter Obi has thanked all Nigerians who supported his campaign during the 2023 elections and voted for his party because of their belief in the quest for a New Nigeria. He said that The results of the presidential elections were contested and have remained so on record. However, the courts of law have spoken, and that is the final resolution

The former governor made this statement during his new year message to Nigerians, where he emphasized that Nigeria is our only country, richly endowed but has suffered from a lack of effective leadership over the years. We will persist in our quest for a new Nigeria, believing in the possibility of positive change.

In his own words, Peter Obi said "Nigerians today are acutely aware of and persuaded that we still lack the responsible leadership, inclusive growth, and effective government that characterize a functioning democracy. However, in order to find meaningful answers to the plethora of social issues we face, we must be steadfast and constant in our demands for the rule of law, high-quality regulations, and efficient government.

Further speaking, the former candidate said "It is on record that there was contesting the results of the presidential elections, but "the courts of law have spoken; so be it." I want to express my gratitude to the Obidient Family, of Nigeria, as well as to the members of the Labour Party, for their fidelity, fortitude, and dedication to genuine democracy. We will keep up the current conversations and work to help the Labour Party adapt to our new position as the principal opposition party in Nigeria.

Agulu fraud, come again 2027. You will still be cancelled.

When will Peter Obi visit Zack Orji, or is he waiting for him to join his ancestors so he can wear his black clothes to go and hug his widow?

Kazeem Jibo, grow up and learn to talk around things in your capacity.

The anarchy, hatred, conflict you seek are in the motor park-your work space. Some people in this forum are honourable, educated and gainfully employed or even employing others. stick to things around your mental capacity

Can someone tell this Agulu fraudster that LP is not the "principal opposition party" in Nigeria?

Who is he trying to deceive sef, PDP with over ten governors and many law makers remain the opposition and not LP with just a governor and few law makers.

Can someone close to tis man kindly educate him?

This is a good start Mr Peter Obi, now complete it by congratulating President Tinubu on his election victory and a avowing to support him if and when called upon.

Peter Obi might also want to distance himself from the behaviour of some of his followers who are causing voters from other tribes to see him as an Ndigbo only project.

Here's how Prof Wole Soyinka captured it;

โ€œHowever, as a new, tyrannical, insolent, and abusive culture, the culture of submental humanity in our midst, which you can give the rough name of the new Internet culture, in which real creativity is being downgraded, even despised for cheap, populist, nasty, subversive, humanly subversive culture.โ€

Patriotic Nigerians actually escaped a bullet.

They were completely unhinged. From extremely toxic tribal/religious bigotry to beast mode insolence to cyberbullying and outright criminal defamations, patriotic Nigerians remained unbowed to them and we insisted that they will never defeat Nigeria and patriotic Nigerians.

Never again must our democratic institution witness such kind of extreme political intolerance and wanton destruction.

In total agreement with you.

Some might think I am overreacting but there was an element of treason in that behaviour and I am firmly of the opinion that every single one of those bullying nitwits should have been identified and arraigned on treasonable felony charges.

Those were dark days and the sadness of it is we are expecting more of the same in 2027.
