TOPIC: Get Set To Praise God For All Eternity

Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!” And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him who lives forever and ever. Revelation 5:14‬

*Message*

As New Testament believers, we are spiritual priests (1 Peter 2:5, 9) destined to keep offering spiritual sacrifices for all of eternity. Incredibly, one of the most prominent features of our eternal priesthood will consist of the continuous offerings of praises to the LORD.

Your priesthood as a believer is eternal in nature, as there are forms of priesthood you will keep engaging in eternity. Revelation 20:6 reveals:

*Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.*

So, whilst there would be different compartments and responsibilities bestowed upon different people in eternity, one common thing we all will keep doing is worshipping the LORD with praises. So, you see the 24 Elders who are in very close proximity to the Throne of God in Heaven. They are rulers with crowns quite all right, but they still won't stop casting their crowns to worship Him with praises.

*"Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”* Revelation 5:8‭-‬10

Help me Father to cultivate a lifestyle of praising You.
