Oshimen didn't perform well today does not mean he is overrated, even sadio mane and Mohammed Salah usually flop when it comes to country match
I was replying one hater.
Nazgul:

The truth is that Oshimen is just an average player. There's nothing special about him.

Explain how Oshimen is "average" in your profile own dictionary
A grade A striker is someone who is able to sustain his form for lots and lots of seasons. Why do you think Messi and Ronaldo were always winning titles every season. It's because they sustained their form every season.

Sadly the only African players I can call a grade "A" striker is Drogba and Eto. Cos they're the only African players who maintained their form all through their career.

An average player is someone who's form isn't consistent. He can pick form this season and loose form the following season.

The Oshimen you're shouting didn't join Napoli last season. He joined them from Lille in 2020, and had a spell for 2 seasons before making his mark last season.

Question is how many goals has he scored this season for Napoli, and what has been his performance for Nigeria this season? If you're honest, you'll agree with me that he's just an average player.

But within 200million, you can have better chances of getting the bests in each position, compared to 1.6million people

Iwobi was excellent in the midfield today. He gave about two defense-splitting passes to Osimhen and another wonderful pass to Sanusi. He should have had up to three/four assists in this game.

Unfortunately for him, Osimhen forgot his goalscoring boots at home.

How many players can compete with Messi and Ronaldo?
According to you, every other player is average because they can't get compete with those two?

Nazgul:

Sadly the only African player I can call a grade "A" striker is Drogba.
Osimhen is 25. What did drogba achieve at 24-25. Who knew Drogba at 24 in Marseille..

Samuel Eto was "average" too? 🤣🤣🤣

Even Salah have more EPL goals and assists than Drogba.

You are talking ignorant rubbish.

Osimhen is not African Footballer of the Year for nothing.

You can never judge a player by a single bad season, not to mention a single bad game.

Just shut up.

It depends on your priority as a country. Chima have ateeas of sports they dominate, likewise the US.

Which sports does a country of 200million people dominate in their continent?
Football is what Nigerians play from childhood, like Ping Pong for the Chinese. Please do not use this excuse to console yourself from not winning country of 1.6 million.
According to FIFA ranking, Nigeria ranks higher
than Equitorial Guinea with more than 40 countries m separating the two
