David Umahi: Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Highway To Be Completed In 24 Months by Thonyboy: 11:30am On Jan 13

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, says in 24 months, all sections of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway will be completed.

Senator David Umahi said this on Friday during an inspection of the Abuja-Kaduna section of the highway.

The Minister, accompanied by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Economy, Wale Edun, explained that the government made the new timeline after reaching an agreement with the contractor of the road, Julius Berger Construction Company.

Recall that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government had given the contract in 2018 on a completion month of 36 months but was unable to fulfil its promise.

Umahi, however, blamed the delay on lack of funds, assuring of the government’s commitment to end the road on time.

He said, “Julius Berger had agreed to complete 15 kilometres daily because the new date was agreed on.”

Everytime we keep hearing about Abuja - Kaduna - Kano....

What about Abuja - Lokoja - Okene - Benin?

Have they seen the sorry state of that route of late?

And these demons keeping saying lack of funds, yet they were able to raise over 50b to buy luxury vehicles for members of the National Assembly.

What other funds are they talking about?

All roads connecting the North to South are bad...

Roads connecting SW to SE are bad...

Roads connecting SE to SS are also bad.....

There are more bad roads in the southern part of Nigeria and government need to look into it..

Nigeria's fraudulent lopsided political structure is behind the phenomenon of getting oil money from the Niger delta region but investing the money on infrastructures first on Arewa but the oil producing areas languish.
At the FEC, NASS and Council of States where decisions are taken on projects to be executed by the federal government, Arewa votes predominate.
