The only state maintaining their facilities well. 1.Compare the int'l stadium with that of Lagos or Abuja. It's maintenance we're talking about. 2. Compare the airlines "ibom air" with other states... Maintenance! Still the best in the country. 3. Compare their bus terminal in Uyo popularly known as AKTC, their transportation facilities to all the states irrespective of bad roads in other states. Akwa ibom transport company "AKTC" leads. Maintenance! 4. Schools and institutions in Akwa is of standard. The polytechnic, state university, federal university, colleges, even primary and secondary schools are well equipped. It's the only state that has modern structures for learning even in rural areas. 5. Some are not aware of the specialist hospital, the level of maintenance there all these years is amazing. After my medical school here in CA, I want to move to Akwa ibom work in that hospital. Nigeria is home, abroad is abroad. 6. The sea port when completed will bring more investment and employment. Akwa ibom is one of the happiest compare to states like Kogi state etc. There's clean water, electricity, good roads, hospitals, schools to make an average Nigerian living in Europe to relocate home. In every successful country, state development is the first thing before you talk of creating jobs for the unemployed. A time will come Akwa ibom will not be talking of capital development but maintenance and creating jobs just like in the UK. Currently the state is over crowded with influx of the Igbo tribe. They feel safe doing business in Akwa ibom. I once ask why the choose uyo compare to Lagos, they replied me that Uyo is easy to transport goods due to the good road and no tribal war. Also, you can hardly see a poor Igbo man in street of Uyo, there's business opportunity for them and they're buying lands allover the environs relocating their families there. For some, uyo is like Europe to them. I hope they won't betray... because if war breaks out all their properties in that state will be confiscated. Normally, that's how every state should lived. But tribal bogus and Godfatherism won't let Nigeria to progress. If Akwa ibom can do it, other states can. I love Akwa ibom and you'll hear them using their language "eyen' ka" more often in work & development to progress! 3 Likes 1 Share |
