[quote author=SharingIsLife post=127986519] Imagine, they told us that the guy died due to accidental discharge resulting from a negligent handling of his weapons. This is to imply that investigations have been concluded. OK? But why telling us this at the same time? Well, this is the obvious truth they're trying to hide: They're only feeling threatened that the guy's death means the Nigerian Army doesn't treat its personnel well |

I have never heard of a trained soldier misfiring himself until now and it's the first ever reported case in the world; now it took place in Ogun state, South Western Nigeria. Why then is he called a soldier if he can't handle ordinary gun which is supposed to be his simplest tool in time of exercise, pleasure and work? |

Who gives a shit?! wether he killed himself or shot himself accidentally as long as he dead that is a splendid news. It is either he is not trained or his mental health is not check and treated. Either way it is bad, anyway, when is his burial so i can go and eat free chicken and rice and drink free beer. |

Guys that claim they are Nigerians on Nairaland can be quite funny. Why is it that many of you that consistently criticise Nigeria army competence and professionalism now claim a Nigeria army soldier isn't capable of mishandling his rifle to this tragic end? I personally believe Nigeria army is one of the world's most professional and competent outfits yet any officer is capable of mishandling his weapon (rifle I mean, not the other one) given the right circumstances or fate - for lack of better words. |
Re: "How Soldier Boyi ThankGod Killed Himself In Ogun" – Nigeria Army by Deblow: 7:24pm On Jan 17 |
Una go explain tire! A man trained in firearms and ammunition handling "mishandled" his arms to the point of killing himself, and via the head? Was he holding the gun facing himself subconsciously while playing with the trigger? Honestly, una go explain tire |
Re: "How Soldier Boyi ThankGod Killed Himself In Ogun" – Nigeria Army by linearity: 7:50pm On Jan 17 |
Mexyz: Even if his finger slipped to the trigger, a bullet must be expelled from the magazine into the chamber before it would fire and release the bullet. So add….his hands first cork the gun before firing. |
