Nigeria is cursed. Borrow borrow and shameless leaders. Is this the kind of leadership we need? There was a country. I know that deliverance will come one day in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

all arguments does not equate to supporting failures mr man. Local refining of crude should actually eliminate the need for going out to buy petrol with forex. It should also boost prospect of earning more forex if and when exported.
Once thing is certain...dangote will never agree to collect naira to sell products...this should have been made part of d deal b4 giving him all of naija forex.this country has no hope to bounce back

What is the funds from the removal of fuel subsidy used for.

It is akin to economic suicide to borrow money to bottle up dollar shortages without finding solution to the cause of the shortage and nip it in the bud.

There's dollar shortage because nigeria largely depends on import for her survival , petroleum products inclusive which account for 40% of Nigeria import.

On the short term, all the refineries should be fixed and be working at full installed capacity

This will help conserve the needed dollars gotten from sales of crude which will be injected into the system.By so doing, there won't be much pressure on the dollar

This will give some reprieve to the nations currency.

We have enough dollars in government coffers to bring down the dollar. You guys would rather steal it. Nothing will change with this borrowing.

Currently most Nigerians have their savings in dollars.
Dollars is our primary currency while naira is secondary.

Why borrow dollars to boost the naira for a few days. It makes no sense. Does it mean we make nothing from oil sales and gas

What is the point borrowing scarce forex with painful interest and then being wasteful by funding pilgrimage, buying hair extension, or going on frivolous travels with it?

This particular one is an non-interest loan

This one is even more clueless than Buhari's finance Minister.

If you borrow dollar to defend the Naira, people will buy the dip and hold it until dollar goes up. Another set of millionaires is about to arise from Tinubu's cluelessness

Why is tinubu this daft with his trial and error ways

You borrow billions of dollars to wedge naira for a few days just for your zombies to be happy

Have the naira not always gone back to its fall after that, why not solve the inflation issue

He is not daft he is doing exactly what he is told to do.. that is to make sure inflation keep rising.

They should keep deceiving theirselves. If only you know the amount of dollars in millions stashed somewhere by these politicians. From Tinubu to the very least of them.

And some idiots will come online do defend and praise them. Foolishness.

FreestuffNG come and explain how this will reduce the exchange rate.

After this, naira will now exchange for N180 per dollar. There will be direct foreign investment and increase in IGR ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.

When the federal government takes external loans, they are indirectly taking money from the Nigerian population through naira devaluation, increase in the price of petroleum products, and general inflation.

It's nigeria been a producing country that will solve this problems...more of exportation and.less Importation...is the solution... and all this traveling to abroad to attend and school in foreign universities, going for medical treatment abroad , buying foreign cars and other products and goods is the cause of naira depreciating and losing value against the dollars...we have to value what we have in this country
