Anayo Nnebe Dies At 61 by GuruboiNaija: 9:44am On Jan 25

Former Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Anayo Nnebe has been reported dead.

The lawmaker, who was a member of the House of Representatives, died at the age of 61.

Though no official declaration of his death has been made by his family, a source said the former Speaker died at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, after a brief illness.

The source said there will be a meeting of members of his family before an official press release on his death would be made.

The late former lawmaker is an indigene of Umuokpu in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

What's going on? The way people are dying now is something else.

Simple, life style is the issue here. People consume a lot of things without considering their age and family history. Similarly, poor routine medical checkup and adhering to medical advice is another issue here. Excessive alcohol, carbohydrates and LDL cholesterol intake contributes also.

He is from Umuokpu village, Awka.

Umuokpu is not a separate community on its own. It's inside Awka in Awka South LGA.

Chai! So this man has passed on like that.He was a very popular politician within the Awka metropolis back then, and doggedly fought for his position in Awka politics.
I schooled with his son Ebuka Nnebe in Bishop Crowther Seminary Awka.He was my classmate then in JSS1, before I left the school for day school.
