That's one of the reasons one can become billionaire in Nigeria overnight... everything about us is outrageous
I actually asked my self a question about his source of wealth one day like that to even have a standard university competing in the country and I think at a point was the best. What came to my mind then was that he likely made his money from govt deal base on percentage. Some lawyers are ballers Sha .Even in election case ,I learnt most of them can get as high as 20k dollars per case

He still got a percentage of his legal fees from the clients just for representing them.Yes,probably after judgement has been delivered in their favor or against may be what determines if he gets the rest of whatever fees he charged his clients.

This is real life. He won't tell you about the cases he lost. You can't always be a winner, there will be some times you did not win.

Its those times you did not win that will shape your knowledge and growth. I am more interested in learning about the cases he lost and how he was able to garn a chain of very strong friends. That's where the actual secret is.

Yes he will be paid either he loses a case or wins.
But what in saying is, the cases he lost helped him to grow. Well what matters is success and he's successful

Invariably, winning a case translate to getting paid na. So what about losing?

There will time enough to count it when the deal is done

Sometimes I feel a funny type of way when the older generation peaches about morality and anti corruption and when I talk about the older generation I'm talking about men and women who are 60 years upwards.i say this because if you know the history of Nigeria you will know that they have no right or moral justification to talk about corruption and moral decadence.the financial waste and seeds of discord among siblings, ethnic groups and Even national politics and finance is something else.

They're always telling stories to make themselves look saintly when they were in service but when you dig you will just yinmu and be looking at them deceive themselves

You see the rascality, poverty, pervasive ignorance, almajari, thuggery and all kinds of evil you see in this generation, check well, they have their roots from those elders.

However the Bible and quoran enjoins us to honour our elders. However we honour our elders not because they really deserve it but because we want to fulfill our own part so we will be found blameless before God

How is what he did "immoral"?

You're capping nonsense.

You talk well. But it was a case a fellow SAN took over and lost. But he came back and won. That's to show he is better than many of peers.

When you make money legally, you can disclose it in public without fear.

It does not mean that some of the most successful lawyers worldwide are not crooks that know their game and clients.

They also have connections to judges and governments worldwide.

You would agree with me that those old legal luminaries don't eat alone.

Can any judge do otherwise....if you know....you know.

This is the Post I have been looking for. They won't tell you that they won Cases because they belong to the same Fraternity.

They won't tell you that Judges do get shares from Legal Fees and many other shenanigans they do.

It is the Glossy part they feed the Naive with.

What has their state of origin got to do with the conversation?
Fortunately they have enough brains in that state but unfortunately that State has remained backward despite all these great people from the states.
Hope you get the gist?

that is a kick back percentage...

This is exactly how Ned Nwoko got rich as well. It happens all the time. This is how lawyers make money, it is absolutely legal.

The same state that was ruined by Fayose, Fayemi and other governors since 1999? A state that has failed to provide water for every building and free education to all children, despite Ajasin’s achievements in four years in these areas of government services and utilities?

So what is the purpose of Afe Babalola, Wole Olanipekun’s knowledge if they are from a backward state like the remaining 35 states
Your last paragraph is the unfortunate part of it. It baffles me that the State is the least developed among the South west states.
