He is not that weak as you think, he simply fought his battle too early withiout good strategies.

A smart leader would've waited for his 2nd term to strike and dominate. He would've be friend with presidency too before he start fighting. He should've won the heart of more assembly members, local governments administrators and other key party members before he strike. He should've promise defection to APC before he start fighting.
