My mother wants to visit me and my husband in Nigeria. She is Australian like myself, and is wondering if she requires an interview for tourist visa?

I did not come over on a tourist visa myself, so I don't know the process. But I know I wasn't asked for an interview with my type of visa.

Has any expats from Australia had to attend an interview for their tourist visa?

Because the Nigerian immigration is in a different state and quite far for my mother to attend. So I was hoping she could just send in her documents and not have to attend. Thank you for any extra information in this topic. It is appreciated.
